latest european ecoboost version

Hi everyone,

I'm expecting my brand new mustang ecoboost to arrive at my Ford dealer at the end of October. It's one of the last, as Ford stops importing the mustang ecoboosts as from the 1st of January 2021 :crying:.
I have this question for those already driving this version: is the 290 horse power (instead of the 317 hp that the ecoboost had earlier) sufficient and still powerful enough for an enjoyable ride?

So are they importing only GT, or nothing??

Yes, due to strict European emission legislation... That's why I was in a hurry to order an ecoboost, it's the last opportunity... In Belgium the V8 is unaffordable because of the high taxes.

In Belgium the V8 is unaffordable because of the high taxes.
The same in Italy.. so cancelling the ecoboost from the lineup means no more Mustangs around here.

well, you're not a real Mustang owner unless you buy the V8 anyway, soooo good riddance?
/JK!!! I would be more concerned with how Ford (potentially) ruined power DELIVERY and less some manufactured 'topline' number.

Well you can speak that way because you live in the US.. there are some countries out there, especially european countries, that fight against powerful cars. When I had the Ecoboost I had to pay 1800 eur YEARLY for 'luxury tax'. Guys with the V8 (really few people in the entire country) pays about 5000 eur yearly.
So sure, I agree that the 2.3 maybe it's not the real thing, but for us it's the best approximation that we could have..

Same here in Belgium. Yearly taxes skyhigh for the V8, and on the date of purchase you pay 10.000 euros extra to register a V8 instead of 4.000 euros for an ecoboost :thumbsdown:
