Thanks for that... I'm 6'7" and banging my leg on the steering wheel has always been an issue for me with the ST. I'm surprised people are changing their minds about guard... I think it looks great in pictures, but I'm finally seeing it up close on a Fusion today (first '15 on the lot just happened to have it) so maybe that'll change. While you feel closer to the ground the car is actually much roomier. I'm 6'4" 235 and had to actually move the seat up where its all the way back in my Shelby. The telescoping wheel is fantastic, no more banging my leg into the back of the wheel during quick shifts.
I agree it does look a little flat in the pictures, and I hope it does pop a little more irl. I've asked the same question before but no one has answered. Either way imo it looks better than the ebony, I feel like they should have gone with a darker "black" than they did. Either way it's still a dark cockpitIm a huge fan or red interiors. The Mustang version always looks very flat, boring and disconnected in the pictures I've seen. In person does it "pop" and is it as nice as the BMWs brick red interior?
I think harder plastic on the transmission tunnel / shifter area is probably a good thing since any soft rubber would scratch quickly and look nasty pretty quickly.-The top of the doors have a soft touch plastic but there is still some hard plastic in places. I think my biggest disappointment was the plastic area around the shifter is still a hard plastic.
100% sure it's Guard as I read the window sticker and the sales manager brought it out to show me the color. He's a fan but I'm not.Are we sure that's a '15 Fusion in Guard, and not a Dark Side '14? I'm really conflicted about the colors - still like guard, but that doesn't look anything like the opening pictures in the guard thread. The red interior looks amazing with silver though...
Cool - thanks - and thanks for posting..100% sure it's Guard as I read the window sticker and the sales manager brought it out to show me the color. He's a fan but I'm not.
I am not sure anything was "debunked". These cars are later builds than some of the other cars that have been seen previously with the pony. Perhaps this is a pre-production variation, but this might be what we are getting. As mentioned in another post, perhaps it's a variation for the EcoBoost vs GT, but I guess we will see soon enough.Awesome but the Ford Logo windshield [already debunked) and trunk misalignment are just due to pre production.
Very much so, it makes my Shelby feel cheap inside. Thanks for the photos! It's cool inside, isn't it?
In my opinion, no. Sterling Gray is a very consistent gray color, where Magnetic is almost a black, gray, silver mix depending on the light and angle. Sterling Gray is not as reflective or dynamic as Magnetic, which might be good or bad depending on your opinion. Is magnetic close to sterling gray?
