I just had my kooks headers installed and they go from 3 inch down to 2.5 for the OEM connect. My existing magnaflow comp cat-back is a 3 inch with a 2.5 OEM connect.

So basically if I can replace the short 2.5 connection section, I'll be able to run true 3 inch all the way back.

Has anyone with this set up done so? If so, can you share some pics or let me know how you went about it.

I believe by doing so, will reduce the amount of drone the exhaust has as it will be reducing a turbulence point in the exhaust.

Below are pics of the 2.5 section I'm referring to.

Don't believe it will reduce drone. Drone is a harmonic caused by two pipes being the same.

Thought I read the Ford x-pipe is 3", others are not.

Any help out there?
