Hey guys,

I just picked this car up a few days ago and I really wanted to make a build thread for it. I've owned several cars in the past and not one has stayed stock. I figured this one wouldn't make it very far before I started messing with it. Being a JDM guy at heart I wanted to give this car that touch without making it too "ricey" My goal is to build a functional, occasional track going, good handling monster. Since this is a build thread I'll keep the intro short and get straight to the mods.

Those Roush wheels are dope!

Good luck on the build! Sure you want to go the JDM approach?

Thank you! I definitely like them a lot and hate parting with them. JDM runs in my blood! lol, but in all seriousness. It will be done tastefully and not riced out

Quite a bit has gone on the car the last week or so. First off the biggest change are the wheels. I settled with my favorite wheels that almost all of my previous cars have had on. A set of Volk TE37 Ultra in 20x10 and 20x11. I considered going a smaller size but the 20s just fill the car's wheel wells so perfectly. Mated with the wheels are a meaty set of Nitto Invos. Huge fan of these tires btw, great daily driving tire that is focused on performance.

For those who are considering this fitment its definitely on the aggressive side, at least the rears anyway. You will need to run a good amount of camber to get them to work, or go down a tire size or two. I'm current on 315/35 rears.

With the rear suspension being the way it is I wanted to stabilize it a bit more and get that go kart feeling that my old FRS had. After browsing the forums a bit I settled on a few BMR goodies.

BMR was extremely helpful in helping me choose my needs. We did the front and rear sway bars, vert links, end links, toe rods, and the cradle bushing.

For any one thinking of doing these mods, I highly recommend them. Wheel hop is gone and the car feels so planted around the corners. There is an increase in NVH but nothing that is annoyingly so. In my opinion the benefits greatly outweigh the cons so these are a thumbs up in my book.

Looking good brother

You bringing it to super car sunday this Sunday?
I'll try my best to get it in for an alignment tomorrow. The way it sits right now my sidewall will be completely rubbed off by the time I get there lol.

So the wonderfully beefy meaty 315/35's just refused to fit under the car even with camber maxed out. If only the car came from the factory with a higher camber adjustment. As painful as it was, I stepped down to a 295/35 (The next size down for Nitto Invos) They clear perfectly. Perhaps this is good news as in the future when I opt to switch to coilovers I can drop the height if I wanted to.

Heres a shot of the rear on the 295's on a 20x11. To my surprise it wasn't incredibly stretched.

Still looks fantastic!

Don't worry about the camber - you'll be able to get more adjustment when we release out adjustable Upper Camber Link. ;)
