Do you guys have any good ideas to keep mud/snow/dirt out of the interior?
I was thinking of making a rule that passengers take their shoes off-----like some people make you do in their homes-----and put their shoes on their laps

Get aerospace 303 protectant for UV protection and 1z cockpit premium for cleaning, both work on hard/soft plastic, vinyl, leather, and even safe to use on screens and buttons. I use them on my Bmw interior looks new and 1z has a nice smell.

This doesn't seem to be very practical and passenger friendly, as I don't see people soiling their clothes with dirty shoes. :)

I know someone who does this on their collector car, but they also wind up driving without shoes, which is somewhat of a safety hazard. However, they have a small plastic dishpan in which to set shoes, which takes up a portion of the passenger side floorboard.

So long as road salt debris doesn't get into the carpet, the maintenance is relatively straightforward with all-weather floor mats.

I have ordered WeatherTech Floor Liners. Even walking across a 'clean' parking lot,
my shoes pick up dirt. I put floor liners in my 2010 when I noticed the limited protection of regular floor mats. Clean center carpets but dirt collecting around the perimeters.

1st thing - Buy another vehicle, that's why I have my F150...
2nd thing - Buy all weather mats, whether from Ford or Weathertech
3rd thing - Purchase slippers, provide them to passenger(s) who wish to board :D

Weathertech mats for floor protection if you really get it that dirty. I had my mats scotch guarded and a quick vacuum weekly keeps everything clean. As far as the dash and rest of the interior, a microfiber with some quick interior detailed does miracles.
