Katzkin for Recaro seats

Has anyone done a katzkin leather kit on the cloth 18+ Recaro seats. Looking for feedback.

I did the coversion on 19 f-150 myself turned out great. I just havent seen anyone do a recaro seat in a mustang

I haven’t pulled the trigger yet due to the fact the the Katzkin covers do not have the Recaro logo on them. I guess due to copy right laws.

Couldn't you just have a local shop stitch them in?

Maybe I know allot of places are not comfortable doing that some time I could check around. That’s pretty much a deal breaker for me on them.

it's a TradeMark enforcement issue. But why do you care about the logo? It's pretty obvious from the shape they are Recaro seat bases. Isn't the point to enjoy the vastly better materials and color scheme Katzkin offers?

If you don't want to be peppered with "what seats are those" just tape a piece of paper with 'Recaro' scrawled in crayon when you arrive at C&C.

Agreed but want to have the logo on them. Just how I want it.

I would wager your average seamstress with a sewing machine could attach a logo for you.

I was lucky and able to find a katzkin new old stock seat cover kit with the Recaro logo’s on them today. I’m stoked on being that lucky. A very nice upgrade for the car. Katzkin got sued over trade mark so that’s why the kits now don’t have them.

Update on this thread. I purchased a set of OEM Recaro seat covers take off’s and did the conversion. Looks great allot of work.
