Do the Performance Pack cars have a "K-Brace" already installed under the car that doesn't come on the regular GTs?

Watch this video from 2:09 to 2:42 - he mentions the Strut Tower Brace, but goes on to mention a "K-Brace" that is "mounted underneath the car and is designed to hold everything together".

What is he talking about?

If it exists, a pic would be great! :)

Yes, the PP cars do have this that I believe the non PP cars don't. I could be wrong but all the PP reviews state the K-brace is only for the PP. But that could be wrong.

I have not looked under my car yet to see it.

This Steeda video shows the brace or at least part of it. Around 50 seconds or so.

It's not under the car, it ties the firewall into the strut towers. Also, the strut brace ties the towers to each other. Apart the two braces don't do much, but together they do some serious stiffening.

Do you mean what I have circled in the photo? Yeah, mine doesn't have that.

What you added is the k-brace.

You guys are getting confused between the k-member and k-brace. The k-brace is on the firewall under the hood, and the k-member supports your front suspension and engine.
Did you watch the video in my first post? Even he calls the brace under the car a K-Brace.

So what is the brace circled in the picture above that is on the Performance Pack cars, but not on my car?

Because I sure hope I have a K-member. :)

There is definitely a difference... in the circled location on my car, I just have a plastic panel:

There's some extra bracing through out the car, but I'm almost 100% sure that the k-brace is the one on the firewall.

I'm offshore in Africa, so no YouTube for me :/

That's how it's been explained to me repeatedly. You may be right though.

There are two types of k braces. The one that ties the strut towers to the firewall and a k member brace that ties the legs of the k member together. Which one or weather both come on pp cars I dunno. I know pp cars get the one from towers to firewall that non pp cars don't have. I'm surprised no one has compared their pp to a non pp underneath to see what's different there.

Non-PP cars with the 20" rim option get the one from the towers to the firewall.

I'll have to get under a PP to see if the only thing different is the brace circled in the picture above.

Yep! That is what I am thinking is the k-brace. I will see if I can get my front end up in the air tomorrow and see what I see and snap a pic or 3.
