Just took it down Skyline Blvd in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Wow. Incredible grip. I'm also lucky the sheriff didn't track me by sound.

After meeting up with @ralphy1798 to buy his Xingineering auto blip module, I took the new car on a second epic Bay Area drive today: Mines Rd to Lick Observatory today. A Bay Area roads guide on Rennlist says "many people rave about this road" - you can count me as one of those people. Wow! A thousand curves and 6500' of elevation changes in each direction. You've got to be careful on various one lane sections with blind curves and about a dozen cattle grates but it's a really rewarding drive. The GT350 is definitely more capable than I am skilled. Even so, I was able to get back to Livermore in 1:15 versus Google's estimate of 1:42 😎

I haven't taken the one I purchases here yet, but in between Lick and LIvermore is some of THE BEST kind of roads for this car I think.

On the ascent to Lick, I think I find something smaller more desirable, but when it starts to open up on the backside, its fantastic. I love that restaurant at Junction as well.

Which autocross did you attend?

Congrats on the purchase! Both cars you were considering are fantastic cars for sure. I was at Barber Motorsports Park this weekend and looked admiringly at a couple GT4's (not to mention GT3RS's!) but I think the GT350 has them beat in flexibility. I have taken mine on road trips and with minor track prep changes can run with the GT4s on the track. Either way, welcome to the club!

Let me know if you want to go for a canyon drive together sometime!

I went to the SCCA autocross at Crows Landing.

What’s your camber up front? Did you understeer any? . I just set mine at 2.5 and drives fine on the street

I was all over the place so I can't make any conclusive statements about the handling 😅 I am planning to get the adjustable strut tower mounts at some point.

No more front plate

I also have a 2019 Performance Blue model. I developed a deeper respect for this car after attending a GT350 Mountain Run event in TN where we drove for 3 days straight on some of the most challenging roads near the tail of the dragon. It continues to amaze me.
If you haven't seen/read the Motor Trend Drivers Car of the year (2019) video and article I would recommend it.
