Over the last 10 months I have been gathering a sizable pile of parts to install, and I picked up another part yesterday that I’m too excited not to share.

Jeff at Late Model Throttle is a great guy, and it was a pleasure talking with him. I can not wait to get this car on my lift so I can get this and all the other things installed. Good times are coming.

Ever since deployment, I count the last day as a wakeup, so 6 days and a wakeup. As my father-in-law says..."Shiiiiiiit you can do that standing on your head!"

Is it the oversized one or a coated stock one? Looks nice!

Yes, it is like the one PBD sells. It has more room inside and creates slightly more boost. I do not plan on porting the blower, or any significant power gains. Just this lid, the smaller pulley SA installed, and my 1320 Junkie CAI.

Damn Jamie you are all In on this build, nice !
Thanks Dan

Well, just got off the phone with Shelby to square away the final details. Hoping these pictures hood me over until I see her on Tuesday……

Jamie, are you doing the FP CF vent or the python one to tie in the other CF hood vents?

The FP hood vent was already installed :sunglasses: I like the Python, but I prefer the way the center line of the factory vent ties in with the space between the stripes.

Hello all and cheers from Europe! I adore Shelby Mustangs and came across this thread when googling for Shelby gt500 SE wide body (after watching presentation of the orange beast on Raiti’s Rides on youtube) :).

Jamie simply gorgeous car! I read this thread every day and admire pictures and the work on the car. :)

I didn’t have the plan to create account just to tell you this :) … but I noticed some details on the pictures that bothered me and said to myself that I need to give you “heads up”.

What bothers me is the gap between the hood and the fenders. If you look on the last pictures (on the one towards the car), left gap appears a lot bigger than right one. Another thing that I noticed is that right “corner” of the hood isn’t aligned with the fender line above the light but goes slightly more inwards and on the left side it is ok.

The other thing that I noticed is on the picture of the rear, right ”corner” of the car.
Right door doesn’t seem to be aligned with the chassis (edge between door and rear widened “hip”). Door look like forcing outwards on the bottom part. Upper part where glass starts looks ok, the slats are aligned but bottom rear corner of the door looks more outwards by quite a margin.

Maybe this looks this way only on photos, but I would pay attention to these details on collection day.

I think that all gaps should be 100% right on all parts of the car with such a price tag, so it doesn’t look it was crashed and poorly repaired right from the workshop.

If these irregularities do exist live on the car and are not only on pictures and If I was on your place, I would demand to fix them and re-set all parts 100% right.

I am a car freak myself and I do give attention to small details. :)

(Pictures attached for easier understanding.)

I hope everything turns out ok in person and that this is visible this way only on pictures.

Pardon for my English (not my mother tongue) :)

Best regards,
Peter
