Welp, I found out that the picture above was not my car, but the following ones are.

What I see done is, the front ARP studs have been installed, the carbon fiber rear diffuser has been installed, the OEM hood vent, the mirrors, door handles, taillights, rear marker lights, and my request to paint the two front heat exchangers was done.

Progress

Dang, almost looks like you're at the salvage title stage, Lol.

Its coming right along, and the wait will soon be over Jamie. Very much looking forward to seeing some fresh air pics in the wild.

Out of curiosity, are the fender flares molded on or do they replace the entire outer skin of the quarter panel?

I know right?! Yah buddy, I can not wait to see this completed, even in picture form. I will do my best to get some professional pictures taken of the car, once I get it.

The stock rear fender flare is cut away, and a wider pre-moulded fiberglass extension is added to the cut away quarter panel. They remove the quarter window to blend the paint properly, as to not be noticeable. They do a really good job.

I really want that hood.....

I painted my heat exchangers when the nose was off for headlights.....Nice subtle touch that looks great IMO!

This hood is a work of art, that's for sure. Easily the most recognizable visual for the SE. I agree on the heat exchangers, I saw Mark do it to his car last year, and I knew I wanted to as well.

Awesome stuff Jaime!
:like:
Thanks Tony

Hell yeah, but it's gonna have to be at Taco Bell. Even McDonals's is too rich for my blood after this.

Hey Tom, are you going to come up to SC at all during Mustang Week? I would love to have a drink with you.

Better yet, I did bid for some PVD layovers. We wont be eating/drinking at taco bell or McDonalds. I also bid for some LAS layovers, but the ones I have been getting lately have not worked out (SA was closed each time I arrived).

Well my persistence paid off last night. I was able to purchase a Ford Performance (by Anderson) hood vent and front splitter! In stock, paid for and shipped already, directly to Shelby American.

This is great news to me because I really wanted to get the entire wow factor when I see this car in person for the first time, let alone in preview pictures.

Between the CFTP wing I scored (thanks Steve!) and now getting these almost unobtainable cf pieces, I am starting to think this really was been meant to be.

I like to disassemble things.
As much as everything is upside down these days, Darwin and karma are still hard at work. I know you've been working your tail off Jaime - you deserve it.

Man, I can't wait to see it. I've been thinking of doing this just worried about being one speed bump away from a cracked splitter but, it's likely never happen.

Thank Tob! I have been working around the clock these past 10 months to get this project paid for. It has been exhausting, but if you want something you have to go out and make it happen. Thats what I have been doing.

Man, I can't wait to see it. I've been thinking of doing this just worried about being one speed bump away from a cracked splitter but, it's likely never happen.
I assume you are referring to the FP carbon fiber front splitter? I am also dying to see it. I picked up four boxes of Sliplo protectors to stick to the bottom of it, hopefully they will keep it pristine.
