Picked up some MPR Performance carbon fiber parts to be installed during the process.

Swing spoiler & gurney flap to hold me over until I can get a CFTP wing.

Mirror covers and triangle trim pieces.

Picked up some MPR Performance carbon fiber parts to be installed during the process.

Swing spoiler & gurney flap to hold me over until I can get a CFTP wing.

Mirror covers and triangle trim pieces.

Are those mirror covers veneers or entire covers?

I installed veneers onto extra covers that I bought, but if those are entire covers, thats the way to go. It is a bitch to remove the glass from the mirror assembly. While you are doing it, the thought in the back of your mind is that it is going to break at any time.

These are replacement covers. As I mentioned before, the covers can be pulled off rather easily (although barbarically) by standing in front of the mirror (facing rear of car) and pulling towards you. I have done this at least 6 times and I have never broken a clip.

These do not have clips on them as you can see, they get held in place with epoxy. End result is they are as flush as the original covers.

They are on the expensive side, but worth it to me.

Jaime how do you like the MPR CF parts? I just tried their website and no luck right now, best way to reach them?
Also might be crazy, but I think some blue paint to match the car on a few parts of that CF swing might look killer.

Since my car is at Shelby American in Vega, and MPR is in Vegas, John from MPR is bringing all the carbon fiber parts over to Shelby for me. I have not laid my eyes on the pieces myself, but from all the images he sent me, and the fact that SA works directly with them, I am more than satisfied that anything MPR does is gold.

I believe yours go on top of the stock mirror caps. These replace the stock mirror caps, but do not have clips so they are epoxied directly to the mirror assembly in place of the stock mirror caps. The end result is a stock flush and tucked in look, just like factory.

You can see in the phots that the CF lip tucks inside the housing at the exterior edge, matching the stock look.

You talking about the ones pictured below? Mine are veneers, but I didn't use double back tape, I used an industrial adhesive and placed them over new mirror covers I bought. They sit flush like the OEM covers do. Double sided tape would certainly raise them off the OEM cover, but with direct adhesive, they sit flush.
