Jaime,

Very excited for you! I closely awaited detailed information regarding this upgrade but ultimately decided it would be foolish for my CFTP. On the other hand, I am promised one of the very first GT500 builds of the 2021 MY. Not just yet convinced if I care to commit an additional $60,000 and 9 months for a SS Wide-body, but if the moons are in alignment who knows. Like everyone else, I am very excited to witness the process and follow your progress. Congratulations!!!

BTW, I will be in LV mid-September. If your car has arrived by then, I will get you some early pics. If not, no problem I will be back.

On a side note, how is your Raptor? I just bought a Tuscany Motors built Ford F150 Harley Davidson. Love it! Now for a trailer...

For example, on my KR, I have pressure gauges on the center stack (boost, fuel, & oil):

Bought this kit from Shelby Parts.

I created an A pillar set up with temp gauges:
154FFFC2-A73A-4E05-BE7B-4295E6993051.jpeg

Top gauge is Oil Temp, middle is coolant, bottom in intercooler fluid temp. I made the adapter to tap into the intercooler hose.
Note that theses donā€™t have a Shelby signature. I bugged Shelby Parts to make some. They did a few years later and you now see them on their site.
I really like the intercooler fluid temp that is one that isnā€™t in the virtual gauges.

Will they change the faces of the stock gauges too match the new gauges?

I also like the intercooler temp idea.

No, they do not touch anything else, as a matter of fact the gauge pod is an add on option, it is not part of the Signature Edition.

The new GT500 has a reading called ā€œManifold Charge Temperature.ā€ Thatā€™s a good number to watch to understand temps after the supercharger.
Previous GT500ā€™s intercooler temps could get so high, they would boil the fluid in the intercooler. Can add larger/multi-pass intercooler radiator, but I still wanted a way to monitor the temps of the air/fluid after the supercharger.

Thanks Ron, as you can imagine, I am over the moon.

Wait, wait, wait...... are you getting another GT500 that will be a 2021 CFTP? Trading in your current car?

Hopefully my car will ship to them in September, but the production of these SE cars will not start until sometime in October.

I ended up trading in my Raptor for an F150 Limited. When I went to CT to tow home the empty enclosed car trailer I bought, it was an unbelievably scary ride. I called my guy on the way home and had the trade in squared away before I got home.

Took the car and trailer to Carlisle, PA a few weeks ago, and it towed like a champ.

PM me some pictures of your truck, I would love to see it.

Right, this is one of the digital gauges I monitor on my car.

There is also a digital boost gauge, but I would like to see a mechanical one.

Brother Jaime,

I will be showing and tracking my CFTP GT500 along with several Shelby Performance examples today with Shelby VP Vince LaViolette at Portland International Raceway. Taste of Portland Motorsports.(BTW, exciting dinner and a show downtown Portland last night, if you know what I mean...)

Vince brought down the beautiful WB SS prototype to display. As it belongs to Ford, it is sad to hear it may be a "crush car". As Vince is the chief designer and test driver of all Shelby vehicles, do you have any questions for him regarding your SS WB GT500?

Will post more pics.

Man I am so jealous right now. I have a TON of questions. Will you give him my email, or phone number? I will PM you now with everything.

Are you saying thatā€™s a 2020 GT500 Signature Edition wide body under the cover????

If you could be so kind as to get me, oh I donā€™t know, MILLIONS of pictures? Inside, under the hood..... everything, I would be forever grateful.

Vince says hi, and he looks forward to chatting with you regarding you SS WB. The pic is of the pre-production 2018 SS WB Prototype.

Under the cover is my CFTP GT500.

Oh, my mimd went crazy when you posted this morning, and it got confused lol. I thought you were saying that the car under the cover was the prototype 2020 GT500 SE. I am guessing this was the prototype from a couple years ago for the Super Snakes (SS).

I was told by my contact at Shelby that they are not allowed to use "Super Snake" on the 2020 GT500, thats why is is being called a Signature Edition instead. I was told it was a stipulation Ford put on the car, but who really knows.

I look forward to speaking with Vince, I have many questions for him. Sounds like he is the guy to ask, thats for sure.

Wow Ron, your car is absolutely beautiful. I love the white stripes as well.

@Jmeo , We hung out with SA on Friday when they were in Florida.

Seen the SE in person at it was beautiful. You are going to love it. Unfortunately I did not take pictures of it.

I will ask my buddies who went also to see if they did and I will post them.
