Jmeo's 2020 Shelby American GT500 SE Wide Body Build (+ "Phase 2")

As the title suggests, today I made the deposit required to get my 2020 GT500 in the queue to become a Shelby American Wide Body car. To say I am excited is an understatement. This is a big deal, and one I didn't take lightly. Some will never agree with it, some will, but thats ok because it's my decision to make. My wife and I are extremely excited, and look very much forward to the end result in give or take 9 months from now. Below is what I went with.


Signature Edition Exterior/Interior:

Dry carbon fiber, ventilated hood
"Shelby" branded hood strut
"Shelby" branded hood locks
"Shelby" branded engine caps
Striping & badging
Leather Recaro seat covers - Shelby designed and branded
CSM numbered engine & dash plate (I got #4)

Performance Features:

Performance Supercharger pulley (800+ HP)
Front & rear adjustable coil over springs(Magnaride retained)
High volume /flow supercharger intercooler
High volume/flow supercharger heat exchanger
Front & rear sway bars (Ford Performance)
Suspension recalibration
Caster/camber plates (Shelby American)
Extended & hardened wheel studs (ARP)

I will get to keep everything that comes off the car, down to the Recaro seat covers.

No, GT350 & (2020) GT500 cars stay stock up front.

Now it they threw that in, that would be the deal of the century.

Still, to own a real Shelby..... thats what the best part of that package is. Newsflash, these Ford builds are not a true shelby.

I only have little information right now, but I was told the turn over will be in October.

I can’t wait to see the factory. I made it to Vegas once, but never got to see it. That’s why I splurged for the factory delivery option.

I asked about the track package, and was told it’s “late delivery” because they aren’t sure of the supply chain. I’m ok with not getting the wing, and I definitely don’t want the seat delete.

Its a nice half a day. The gift shop has a lot of cool stuff. I usually just get a bunch of T Shirts when I'm there. Its over by the airport, so depending where you stay, its probably only a $12 Uber ride.
