You talking about the ones pictured below? Mine are veneers, but I didn't use double back tape, I used an industrial adhesive and placed them over new mirror covers I bought.

The ones below look like veneers

Veneers by nature apply to the top of an existing material.

These replace the stock cap entirely. The only difference between these and a "cap" is they don't have the little plastic clips to hold them on, hence the epoxy.

I consider them replacement caps that are held on with epoxy instead of clips.

Lastly, once installed, they have a fit & finish of a OEM cap. You can not see the original cap underneath it.... because it's not there.

Picked up some MPR Performance carbon fiber parts to be installed during the process.

Swing spoiler & gurney flap to hold me over until I can get a CFTP wing.

Mirror covers and triangle trim pieces.

Since my car is at Shelby American in Vega, and MPR is in Vegas, John from MPR is bringing all the carbon fiber parts over to Shelby for me. I have not laid my eyes on the pieces myself, but from all the images he sent me, and the fact that SA works directly with them, I am more than satisfied that anything MPR does is gold.

2020 GT500 SE #1 (finished last week )

Now, where is a 2020 GT500 SE Widebody?

I really really like that hood. I didn't think you could approve upon the stock hood but man they did. Its understated yet overstated at the same time and fits the car.

Ok that makes sense. Definitely the same car Chris has sent me pictures of. This is the car that they have been displaying all around at dealers and such via the Shelby American touring TT.

I am hoping I can see an actual car with the side vents painted before I have to pull the trigger on that decision. The image of Vince in the FPB CFTP with the hood on it is computer generated because that car does not exist.

I have to agree with you. They did a great job with creating a hood that’s exclusive to the SE, but retains the beauty of the OE hood.
