@Jmeo What was your time to install the kit? Price now looks to good to pass up at $315 for the starter kit.
I am sorry that I missed your question. The install took roughly 30-45 minutes per side, with most of that time spent cleaning the threads really well. I purposely started during the evening time, so I could let the thread locker set overnight, then I finished up the following morning.

I reached 550 miles on my car last weekend, so today I completed my first oil change. This is my first car with a cartridge style filter, and I must say I prefer this to traditional oil filters.

I did the job through the access panel because I didn't want to take the belly pan off. It is a little tight, but doable. For the filter access, I found it easier to get at it from behind the drivers side wheel, not through the access hole. There is a little flap that hangs there, but it is loose enough to pass the 27mm socket on an extension through it to crack it loose, then for your arm to reach in and take the filter housing off by hand.

I used my Form-A-Funnel to prevent oil from the drain plug from getting on top of the belly pan.

I wanted to use the Form-A-Funnel to prevent oil from getting on top of the belly pan when changing the filter, but there really wasn't a way to get it in there, and allow enough room for my arms to work on removing the filter, so I decided to forgo that idea. I placed a rag on top of the cover, and it caught the little oil that did not want to fall down through the access hole, so it was not an issue.

Stay thirsty my friends.

When I took delivery of my car last December, I found the hood vent had paint damage inside some of the louvers. It took some time, but today I finally picked up the replacement. It was warrantied thankfully, as it costs $2,000! It comes unpainted, so it then needs to be sprayed. The guy who painted this one did really good job, I must say. I have been worried all this time that the replacement was going to look like crap, but it came out great. Only one spot that I will need to hit with some rubbing compound to fix a tiny blemish.

In this picture I have circled the chipped paint down in some of the louver valleys.

Here is the replacement.

He even painted and buffed the underside, which I can say is one step better than the one from the factory.

The dealer is an hour away so I decided to take the mustang for the ride without the hood vent :sunglasses:

Factory paint is terrible......i had the detail shop spend 4hours wet sanding the hood of my gt350 because when they layed ppf on it, it looked like 100 tiny bubbles.

Jmeo, I asked about the front spoiler lettering on your other post before I came over here. What a great thread this is! Thank you. Now I also want that leather steering wheel. She's a beauty!

Agreed, the same was done to mine before PPF was applied.

Thanks Johnny. I can tell you with certainty, the steering wheel is one of my favorite things I have done. I do not think you would regret getting one.

I took the advice of a friend, and picked up Adams Ceramic Wheel Kit for the new wheels I ordered. I also followed his lead and used the kit to ceramic coat my new hood heat extractor. I have never used ceramic before, but It was pretty straight forward, thanks @Epiphany.

These pictures do no NOT show how nice it came out. After a quick polish to get out an imperfection or two, I spent maybe 1/2 an hour, and I was done. Pretty painless, I highly recommend this product!

The bluish glow you can see is the reflection from the windows in my 3 season porch.

Today I installed some SlipLo scrape protectors on the under side of the splitter. I purchased these before Christmas, and had I installed them when I first got my car, I would not have damaged the splitter

They are well designed, and come with (10) 8" strips that are flexible, and allow you to shape them how you want them. They come with adhesive promoter, but no alcohol wipes.

With only 600 miles, there are too many scuffs for my liking.

After some figuring, this is where I thought that I would get the best protection, and still allow me to take the splitter and wicker bills off, if needed.

I must say they are beefy, and easy to install. Try as I might, they will not budge, so I expect the to stay put.

I've seen the commercial for these and was always curious if they actually work.

They are thick and beefy, my guess is they will work great. Worth a shot anyway, can't be worse than having none at all.

Well, piece by piece I am building my own car lol. I just prefer smooth leather over Alcantara, and I figured the carbon fiber accents will tie into the carbon fiber dash panel I ordered my car with. My GT350 wheel on my last car got matted down after a short time. I have always wanted a BeithPerformance steering wheel, so I figured, nows the time!

Jaime have the steering wheels changed at all? I still have my carbon steering wheel and wondering if it fits on the gt500?
