I know its been almost a year since I took delivery of my car but I thought I would start a build thread. You know what they say, you can't rush into things lol.

I have a thread already called "Whipple Time" that pretty much talks about the process of getting the 2.9 Whipple SC installed and I now need a thread so I can talk about my other mods & purchases as to keep the Whipple Time thread on topic.

So.....

I pre-ordered my car on May 28, 2014 and went through the painful process of waiting 6 months for it to arrive. I'm still having COTUS nightmares lol. My car arrived to the dealer on November 28, 2014.

I started looking into supercharging from day one and almost went with a dealer installed Roush (so glad I didn't). I wanted a Whipple from day one coming from my 2005 GT that I Whipple'd myself but my local dealer would not put on anything but the FFRP/Roush kit. This led me to contacting Tasca Ford in Cranston, RI which turned out to be the best decision I could have made. Tasca is known locally for having a racing division since the 60's and for having "Tasca Mod Shop" for turning out some powerful cars.

My car was picked up by Tasca in the first week of February 2015 for the Whipple install. This was to be Tasca's first SC install on a 2015 and I was honored to be the first. I ended up befriending the head of this shop and their top mechanic which is just awesome. I would recommend anyone in the New England area to check out Tasca Mod Shop, they are simply the best around.

While my car was @ Tasca I started collecting parts of all kinds. I got my car back from Tasca the first week of May because there was, as you all now know, a learning curve for everyone with the tuning capabilities of the 2015 cars so It took a little longer than expected to get this sorted out. This was not a big deal because we were pounded here in Mass with a very snowy winter. During this process I ended up befriending Dustin Whipple as well so again, this is just awesome! Over the past 5 months I have thrown parts at my car like it was going out of style lol.

I don't really know where to begin to get this thread in the correct order of events so I will just start by listing the parts that are currently installed and I'll just go forward from this point updating any/all changes and opinions all while keeping my "Whipple Time" thread up to date at the same time.

I have met some really great people on this forum and I am grateful for all the friends I have made and advice I have received. Dustin from Whipple, Kelly from BMR, Joe & Steve from UPR, David from Steeda, Paul from Need For Speed, George from MGW, Jay from Hypermotive and so on and so on. Curtis, Jason, Dan, Charles and so on and so on. These are just some of the people I have gotten to know and respect and I do not mean to leave any single person out that's for sure. There are many more members and vendors to list but that would just take all week lol.

Yep, I made a thread about it when it first came out. The oil is collected and then returned to the valve cover when the engine turns off via a check valve.

Finished the install of the toe bearings yesterday what a pita! Passenger side gave me a rough go but I prevailed.......... After 6 hours! Broke the ball joint press, whacked my had about 5 times with my hammer, got about 5 cuts, whacked my head a dozen times and have two chrome things that kinda resemble a socket.....

Not that I'll ever do this again but if someone was to, take the knuckles off and have them pressed in on an actual press. Well worth the time getting the knuckles off imho.

Took her for a ride and I can honestly say zero change in NVH and wheel hop is definitely reduced. Worth the outcome if anyone is on the fence.

I just had to share this.

My almost 6 year old is in love with the same windows down, stereo off pedal down childhood that my dad raised me on.

I have a 20 y/o son, 16 y/o daughter, 5 y/o daughter (starring in video) and a 4 y/o son who absolutely love daddy's mustangs. I am one lucky and proud dad :)

Nice build! I ended up going with whipple because of all your posts :). How do you like the clutch with the steel flywheel with your driveshaft and half shafts. Looking to do that exact set up come next spring. Also what are the benefits of the 10 rib kit with the ati balancer?
