Based on this chassis number we are still ~170 cars short of 1000 so still a ways to go in order to hit 1000 cars.

Obviously more R's will be built over the next week or so but not enough to hit 1000 IMO.

Having said that "HR999" has a nice ring to it!!:eyebulge:

Hard to believe that I took delivery of my 2017 R 14 months ago and never dreamed that Ford would build this many R's for the 2017MY no matter what the final number comes in at.

Mine was built yesterday, received stripes same day, and hit mod shop and shipped today hr912.. they WILL build 999 or 1k.. my guess is 999. They may have skipped 911 though. My eta went from 10/10 to 9/18-9/24. They are building almost nothing but gt350's and R's right now, as a matter of fact they are only running 2 of 3 shifts due to demand leading up to the '18.

Mine is 889, built 9/7. So it looks like they've built ~60 of them in just over two weeks.

I'm 2 right before before you. Wonder who got 888? That would be a cool number...eh, they are all cool numbers.

They are heavy on the Rs right now for sure. Weather will be there sooner than later. Im sure they want to get them all done before it gets too cold.

Tom, typically the dealers tracking is fairly accurate based on my last 350 and my Raptor. The car would need to scan out to the shipping carrier in order for it to state shipped. In your case you're likely waiting for a rail car or waiting for the train to assemble. My car is not coming via rail so I expect that it will be here within the next week. My 350 was built last yesr 4/18 was awaiting shipment 4/19 went to in transit on 4/24 and delivered the same day. I will follow up with the dealer and another contact I have to see what the actual status is.

With respect to your car arriving at your dealership next week when it was just assembled a couple days ago seems hard to believe but hope it does arrive sometime next week as I am sure that you can't wait to get it home!

Are you buying an R or 350? the Mod center puts on the stripes etc, carbon rims and carbon wing for the R's. Not sure what else.

The first thing that happens is that they sit outside in a parking lot and collect acid rain. Mod #1 is to claybar. When you get your car home, get a ziplock baggy, put your hand in it, then run it over the surface of your car....hood, roof, and spoiler especially. I was shocked how rough my brand new car's paint finish felt. Appalled, actually.
