Amazing the lengths to which we go to protect paint, huh? :-)
Iā€™m only worried about those black streaks. WD-40 takes them off. But prevention saves a lot of time later.

Maybe, but my whole car has ppf.
Iā€™ve never used PPF. Too expensive and not much use here. We donā€™t have many bugs, etc. just black streaks.
Iā€™ll have to try that Track Spray. First I have heard of it.

I found it last year in Charlotte at the 55th Mustang gathering. I was walking thru the vendors and a Griot vendor was there. I was tracking my GT5350 and thought might as well try it. It worked great and have not used anything since for the black streaks.

Sounds like Jim may have the perfect solution, guys.

And Tom, if you wax the film, the isopropyl alcohol will pull the wax off. I wonder what's in that Track Spray?
I dont wax the film, but if I did, use isopropyl to remove the track bugger smears and re-wax. Whichever works for you.

If you are tracking and have no PPF, I can't recommend trakk tape enough. It goes on easy, gives great protection, and comes off really fast without any damage to the paint.

Tripropylene Glycol Methyl Ether

I don't think I'd use this stuff. If WD 40 works for your application, I'd probably stick with it. Isopropyl alcohol works for me for my PPF. I don't wax it.
