I drove my 350R “spiritly” to and from work today. What great sound to experience.

Tex
As I did my R. Yes it's a glorious sound and pleasure to drive.

I guess the jist of these last few pages is that our CF bits will be on a 5.0 soon. Will someone let me know when that happens please?

I own a 2003 Base Escort LX, and those ZX2 people really get under my skin thinking they are better than everybody.

This is exactly the kind of shit ZX2 people always propagate... list a bunch of parts that are on the ZX2 and use that to say “ITS SPESHUL”... so let’s take these one by one
Suspension bushings: all the same between ZX2 and LX
ZX2 brakes: okay
Springs and dampers: LX and SE already have them
ZX2 engine: don’t want it, LX engine is better
Bigger rear axles: it was 130whp, all they’re doing is increasing rotating mass
Special seats: every other Escort can be offered with both cloth AND vinyl seats, who cares... oh wait, they don’t have the “speshul snek”, do they?
Wheels: LX and SE have better wheels
Sway bars: LX and SE have them
ABS: LX and SE have them

So you can see there, most of these things that make the ZX2 “special” have been trickling down to lesser models (which was exactly my point). What reviewers say about the ZX2 means nothing to me, because they’re all the same way; they get in, they see that ZX2 emblem, they say “this is special”. It’s that simple. I’d be willing to bet money that if you gave a reporter (or any ZX2 person, really) a ZX2 that was changed to look like a LX inside and out and told them it was a LX with some bolt one and a tune, they’d say “I don’t know man, it still doesn’t feel as speshul as muh snek”

So yes, you can absolutely replicate (or even surpass) a ZX2 got significantly less money if you don’t care about the status of having that ZX2 emblem on your car. And sorry to burst your bubble, but if you’re buying a car for its resale value, you’re buying it for the wrong reason. That’s literally the only somewhat valid defense ZX2 bros have anymore... it’s either “YOU CANT AFFORD IT” or “RESALE VALUE BRO”
The best part is, you’re mostly right

I just bought the ZX2 because 16 year old me liked the way it looked more than a standard escort, but looking back I probably would’ve gone with either a BP powered EGT or a Focus lol

I bought this car because of the exhaust note... everything else attached to the vehicle was just a bonus.
I have a '19 and it has the "R" designation sticker under the drivers side coil cover. I also had the resonators replaced with equal diameter straight pipe welded in place.
I have never ridden in an R... I wonder if I have the same exhaust note given my changes?

I just re-read what I wrote before posting.
I started every sentence with "I".
I find that a bit odd.
I think it makes one look a bit self-centered.
I better quit typing.

Ahh, how ironic... tries to stand the high ground by crying “DONT GENERALIZE SHELBY OWNERS!” and follows it up with a personal attack about my home life

Back on topic, but do you think Ford will keep track of the "final" VIN?
Im sure they will. They’ll probably do the same thing they do with most cars where they have a big banner in the factory saying “Last X ever built” and I bet they’ll put the chassis number on there

I’d also bet that the last GT350 to roll off the line will be a heritage edition R

TLDR......... but the ignore function works like a charm!
I have wondered about this... how does it work and what does it do?

I have never used it... but recent posts have had me curious.

Can you give some insight?

If you ignore a user, their posts aren't displayed - however - ignoring breaks the flow of the conversation, you see replies to [their] posts that aren't visible, it creates duplicate responses (they may post something that you wind up posting as well ...), etc.

I've never ignored anyone, on any forum, and I suspect I've been online longer than 99.9% of you. I can "manually ignore", i.e., not be upset, perturbed, flustered by a post ...

Macho Man!

Have you ever worn a great pair of shades?... you know... the ones that block out the UVA and UVB rays? I have... they work wonders for your eyes.

The ignore function is my shades here... yeah, I could be internet macho and choose to look over it but the ignore takes the work out of it.

Nah. Yours is muffled due to not having the deleted rear seat and the lack of acoustic reverberating interaction with the CF wheels. And your driving experience is a notch down too from a real track car. Lets face it, yours is still considered a passenger automobile. Like the 5.0 I guess.

Don’t forget the echo effect for off the CF wing for the people following. That’s huge!
