I'll do a 2 finger wave or V from the top of the steerng wheel to just about any nice ride (Camaro excluded ). I get one back occasionally. Had a couple of older gentlemen , one in a wore out pick up and one in a "project" late 40's 4 door both roll rown the window to chat.

Most of the “waves” I have received have been from other S550 vert owners with the top down and those have been similar to what you see between motorcycle riders. It’s a vert thing, you hard top guys wouldn’t understand. :)

Usually, I give a flick of the lights or a two finger wave when I'm about to come up on a GT/GT350, or clearly modified Mustang. I don't wave to Camaros or Challengers. I get a response about half the time.

I got like one or two waves after 4+ years in my GT. In the vette people wave almost every time no matter the gen.

I generally get waves and also wave or give some kind of acknowledgement from/to other drivers of obviously modified mustangs. Stockers not so much, and I have to remind myself that there are just a lot of people that bought a mustang just because it's a car.

I've been waved at a few times, and I was wholly unprepared to return the wave. lol

But yea, most people driving stock mustangs will barely notice you, but the ones driving modified ones usually do.

I sort of fall into the latter category. I have always liked mustangs but never owned one until now. I wanted a V8 convertible and the choices are limited in the price I am willing to pay. The Camaro was not an option as the interior looked cheap as most modern Chevys do. I admit to being a Hemi fan but no factory verts from them so that pretty much left the Mustang. I did not want to buy a new one and so when this 2015 CPO vert GT Premium popped up at our local Ford dealer we got it. It’s a blast to drive and we really enjoy it but in reality we will probably trade/sell it in 3-4 years and get something more practical. That seems to be our pattern with our prior verts, a 1967 Camaro RS and a new 1996 Chrysler Sebring. But for now, we will just have fun!

I've recieved a few waves in the mustang but no where near the extent of the jeep waves I used to have to endure. My wife would wave from the passenger seat if I forgot to just so we didn't offend anyone in her jeep. :headbang: I have to agree it seems to be more of a thing around here with the modified cars and not the stockers.

Only smoking hot Mustang women wave at me.
That's what I thought until I realized they were just shielding their eyes.

Mustangs are so common and owned by lots of non-enthusiasts who "want something sporty" so of course you're not going to get a lot of waves. I save the waves for modded Mustangs and will always get one back.

A bit about bikers - I ride a Suzuki, and give a "V" from the handlebars 100% of the time to other bikers. I get 0% response from Harley dudes. Such riceburner bias!
