I don't see it under track apps.

edit: Oh I'm auto, that's why. Sucks.

Anyway, is there an aftermarket version of this?

The free solution is to left foot brake and hold the car stationary while building revs to where you want...then release the brake and mash the gas. The converter won't make the tires slip like dumping the clutch on a manual does. It's a little tough on the trans but it gets the job done.

Also looked into trans brake which in my limited reading puts less strain on the trans. But i also read it puts more strain on everything else and not many people here use it?

BTW. For someone who loves comparing 0-60 times. Is using the two foot "launch control" significantly better for 0-60 times? Take 0.1 or 0.2 off?

Most of the folks I've seen recommend foot braking to get the RPMs to about 1,500 and then mash the pedal as you immediately release brake. 1,500 RPMs seem to be sweet spot from what people say.

I haven't tried it because I don't want to put stress on the trans.

If you really want a shot out of the hole, get a high stall torque converter.
