No one wants to think they came out with anything that improved right after they bought one :) I've had a 16R and a 20R. While a little different, I enjoyed them equally.
Perhaps I spoiled myself right out of the box with an 18 R. The 19 or 20 R doesn't bring anything I can't live without. Feel real good about my late production 18 R as far as QC and reliability too.

Hard to argue. 350 will be a crowd favorite for years to come. ;)
You can watch the entire review from Motor Trend on You Tube. The McLaren was a beast on the track, but scary on regular roads and very uncomfortable....
The best drivers car was based upon overall driving experience in many different situations/roads, track... best all around...
Dang, the 350 came in second to only the Porsche 911, says a lot.

As long as everyone is happy! I think it's just human nature and maybe even more so lately with this car, to convince ones self that you have the "good one" or the "good year" haha.

How about chassis number TT003?!?

https://www.ebay.com/itm/2020-Ford-Mustang/224386571129?hash=item343e7b5b79:g:v4EAAOSwZj1gFIrt

...from the listing;

Keep in mind that these cars were before general production of the '20 run. They are extremely rare. Most TT cars are destroyed and usually are not allowed to be sold for public consumption. PP cars do get out, but the TT cars are a holy grail. Now I see there are two of them out there." (NOW THREE) It is not a normal production vehicle. I suspect someone screwed up and sighed them off to be sent to auction,. Probably Manheim in Detroit.”

(we may need @PP0001 input on this one)

Relisted with a 75k buy it now...
These Pre-Production Tooling Tryout cars are very rare and have a good idea what the dealership paid for it therefore suggest that there is a lot of room on this car.

Asking ~$11,250 over MSRP for a non R and coming with ~8,200 miles on it will certainly not fly regardless if it is one of the earliest 2020 GT350's built.

On the upside I suggest that whoever buys this car will be the original title owner (aside from the Ford Motor Company) and should still have a great deal of the bumper to bumper and powertrain warranty left.

Reading this from start to finish, it seems the consensus goes from 2015-2017 to 2019-current with what seems like not much 2018 discussion... LOL. Just noted observations, not insinuating there’s any 2018 exclusions or issues...

Great thread, love the pics of those of you who own not 1, but a variety of Shelby’s in your collections.

Can anyone add some discussion as to what average pricing is currently for the S550 GT350 and GT350R’s by year, in the USED market, both retail and private party? I’ve tried to follow the S550 Shelby market, but values seem to be all over the place. I’m just asking for average, not getting down to the nitty gritty as far as option packages, colors, accrued miles, etc. It’s hard for me to lock in on what is to be “expected” price to pay vs “overinflated, damn you’re off your rocker asking that price”... :cwl:

I would say on non R’s
16- mid to high 40’s
17-18- low to mid 50’s
19-20- high 50’s with some 20’s still 60 plus
Just a guess

Thank you for all your insight. I owned an early 2016 track pack, for a while. Wanted the sofas, and could not resist making a few bucks! searching prices reveals not much difference between 2017-19. So kind of favoring a 2019 GT350, with sofas. Help!

Love my sofa cooling seat. Drove yesterday and it was very warm. Turned on cooling seat feature and it was so nice. BTW it's cooling in the bottom and back areas. Honestly, if I'm going to buy my next car, this feature is a must.
