Is the GT350 the most fun automobile you have driven? If not what is the most fun.

My 2015 700 RWHP C7 was a bit more fun than my GT350 but then again, I was afraid to drive it as I tend to have a lead foot. It also required continuous maintenance. Just putting Meth in got be be a PITA. I was also afraid to leave it anywhere. The GT350 is my second favorite car followed by my previous 2011 CTS-V.

The GT350 is indeed an awesome driving experience! At 2800 miles I'm still learning. I'm scheduled for the Track Attack in Utah in October and can't wait to experience on a road course what this car is truly capable of.
That being said I also the original owner of a 2003 Honda S2000 with 110,000 miles. I don't know how many cars have ever been built with more than 100 HP per naturally aspirated liter but I love having two of them!
Two completely different driving experiences yet equally as awesome for what they are!

The GT350 is the "most funnest" car to drive that I've owned, but I had some great times in my 87 Grand National (after I installed an Art Carr shift kit, it had the best shifting automatic transmission EVER), 93 Cobra with a 351W I built (couldn't keep transmissions in it), and a 2000 Miata (could NOT make that thing lose grip in a turn).

But none of these compare to the grin I get when I see, hear, and FEEL 8200 on the tach in the GT350. Not even close.

I hear ya on the Grand National.:amen: It gets a little antique feeling the more advanced these cars get but sure does get a LOT of attention when you take it out. Almost has a reputation of being the badest of the bad for a LONG time whether justified or not. Mine is still stock (19k miles) so it doesnt perform like many of these have been upgraded to do but still a fun car.

My 2008 (I am Legend) GT500 seemed more fun because of the supercharger and FR pipes. I like that the 350 stays on the road.

I hate to say this but the splitter in the video is installed incorrectly.

Nothing compares to the 05 Ford GT that I had so far. I drove a used 13 GT500 and almost bought it .....the sounds were great and the seat of your pants feel is something else .......11.6 in the 1/4 mile isn't too shabby. It beat the 12 ZL 1 on the track also. With better brakes on the 13 GT 500 not sure How it might do against the 16 Shelby GT 350 track pack on the track.
So what's next ? As Shelby used to say " my favorite Shelby is the next one "

The old iron is "fun" also. I have a few old muscle cars, 70 Boss 302, 66 Vette and a few more. You get those things over 100mph and it's a white knuckle ride! I had the 350 over 100 and didn't even notice.

Well I'm 50 and have been collection, trading and selling my cars for a long time. I've had 3 Ferrari, 2 Lambos the Ford GT(40) , Lotus and a dozen Porsches and I have to say the Porsche GT3 RS was the best drivers car I have owned. Drove the 350 today and yes, the engine sound is one of the best I have heard. The Ford GT sound really sucked for a 165k car. The 360 F car with the Tubi exhaust comes close. For the money I think the 350 is hard to beat.

^^ this. Ive spent 15 years driving every under the sun as a part of my job. Is the GT350 the best? Hell no, but it is, imo, the best combination of its parts vs price Ive come across in a long, long time.

My 1970 Porsche 914 /6 if we are talking old cars. Even the 1971 240 Z I owned was fun but not fast. Some times slow cars can be a lot of fun on country roads.
Skip to the new stuff the 13 Boss 302 with the side exhaust with slightly larger plates was a blast to drive. I also remember more torque down low and it felt slightly faster then the 350.

Let me just start out by saying that I have been very fortunate to own many great Ford automobiles over the better part of 5 decades.

My first Ford/Mercury vehicle was a '67 Cougar that came with a 289 4V V8 and a three speed automatic transmission and that all happened in the late 1960's.

Since that time back in the '60's I have been very fortunate to own a Mustang from each of the different 6 generations which includes everything from a '65 GT350R replica which was owned and raced by Pivec Racing from San Jose, California to a '74 Mustang II Mach 1 to the new generation GT500's/Boss 302's and now to the new generation GT350/GT350R's and everything in between.

Back in 1987 I was racing a 1986 Dodge Omni GLH and an '87 Mustang GT notchback at the same time in the Vancouver area and had Goodyear sponsoring me with shaved Goodyear tires for my Mustang which unfortunately did not compare to the sticky Yokohama A008R's on my GLH which was the best performance tire on the market back in the day. What a great performance tire that was!!

Now to present day whereby I have been very fortunate to have owned 3 new generation GT500 coupes and convertibles along with 8 new generation Boss 302's of which 4 of them were Laguna Seca's. Also I have been blessed with owning a '15, '16 and '17 GT350/GT350R models which I can say are beyond description.

Having said all of the above my favorite vehicle of all time is a 2012 Boss 302 in Performance White and was the second "Pilot Production" Boss 302 of the 12 built and was built way back on Tuesday, October 26th, 2010.

This "Pre Production/Pilot Production" car was built by Ford as not only a display car but was assigned to the NASCAR Experience Tour and once it left Barrett-Jackson in January 2011 as a display car it immediately was sent to Daytona Beach for the 500 and after 16 NASCAR races that year it ended up in Homestead, Florida at it's final event.

I have put~1000 miles on this car over the last few years and I can honestly say after the "TracKey" is activated it is the most exciting car to drive that I have ever owned. Doing ~95 in third gear and ~125 in fourth gear with the quad exhaust open in this car is something to experience and enjoy. Trust me this car feels faster than all of my other Boss cars and after many miles in these Boss cars I suggest that I should know the difference.

Will I come to enjoy the GT350 cars more than this Boss 302 as I go forward I suggest that may happen but it will require more seat time in each of them to change my mind.

Are the GT350/GT350R's outstanding, absolutely and the best Mustang ever no question but it is hard for me personally to get past this 2012 PW Boss 302.

 :ford:

My GT3 for sound, handling and overall looks. The GT350 is lots of fun just feels heavier and less nimble but does sound good
