Is the GT350 the most fun automobile you have driven? If not what is the most fun.

Most of you are car guys. Most of my hobbies in the past are competing in firearm competitions and gunsmithing.

That said the most fun car I have owned up to the GT350 was a 2006 Mazda Speed 3. Having a manual transmission in any car elevates the experience 100%.

After reading the first article about the GT350's engine back in 2005 I have been reading everything I can on the car and engine.

Fast forward to a month ago, a 2017 is in the garage. My hands were shaking when I got the keys for the first drive. The thrill has not dulled in 2200 miles. This car is pure joy. I can't think of any better compliment. Sure, other cars maybe faster but nothing I have driven has the pure pleasure this car does.

So, fellow car nuts. What is the most fun car you have driven? How does the GT350 compare?

The youtube video is a member here on the forum. His reactions are spot on with mine. The car actually makes me giggle like a little girl.

Well I'm 50 and have been collection, trading and selling my cars for a long time. I've had 3 Ferrari, 2 Lambos the Ford GT(40) , Lotus and a dozen Porsches and I have to say the Porsche GT3 RS was the best drivers car I have owned. Drove the 350 today and yes, the engine sound is one of the best I have heard. The Ford GT sound really sucked for a 165k car. The 360 F car with the Tubi exhaust comes close. For the money I think the 350 is hard to beat.

I had a 2004 STi with a pretty comparable powerband to the GT350 other than a lower redline. Kinda fun to do 4 wheel burnouts at will at 70mph. high 11's on stock tires.

This is a much better car, but that was a carnival ride.

McLaren 650S... I really enjoy the Shelby, especially on the street, but the McLaren is a completely different experience, especially on the track. It would be extremely disappointing if it wasn't considering the price difference.

I have fewer than 400 miles on the GT350R so I don't know it very well just yet.

Some of the best driver's cars are the ones that are fun to drive slow. My 2006 Cayman S was one of those cars. The best bang for the buck I've ever had was a 2005 Saab 9-2X Aero which is literally a Subaru WRX wagon with a prettier facia. For less that $15K between car and mods that thing would trounce almost anything on the street under so long as we were going under 70mph. That thing brought an ear to ear smile on my face every time I stared it.

I have a feeling the GT350R will be the most fun car I've owned thus far. For me, "fun" is wrenching on it too. I wouldn't touch a McLaren with a wrench, but I have no issue taking sandpaper to the paint on my R.

For me, the less precious I treat a car the more fun it is. This Mustang on steroids might hit the sweet spot.

Im new to the car it sounds awesome all the power is up top which means it's not really reachable except in first gear.

My most fun so far was a 1985 corolla it was slow and noisey but sounded great and you could ring it out and not be doing a 100.

Probably a 997 GT3 RS 4.0 if I had ever driven it.

I had the opportunity to buy a 2011 GT3 RS 3.8 CPO with 9,000 miles for $139k back in 2012 and I didn't take it. I think that car is worth north of $200k now. Doh!

I went to Exotics Racing in Vegas and drove the Huracan, 458, 911 GT3, and Cayman GTS.

I was a little underwhelmed by the Cayman, but the rest were all pretty amazing in different ways. The GT3 was probably the best to drive.

My GT350 doesn't have quite the same levels of front-end grip, but it right up there with those cars and its lower price means that you can drive it hard with less fear of damage.

My 350Z was very fun after some suspension mods, not nearly as fast in a straight line but very similar in the corners.

I also drove the C7 for several days at a driving school and that car was also very fun.

Tough to choose a winner, but if I had more money I'd probably go for the 911 GT3 (but maybe I'd wait to see if they make one with a stick shift first).

Just can't get enuff!
Based on all the cars I either owned or currently have.... in order of most fun, for me my top 5 are:

1) 2016 GT4
2) 2015 GT350
3) 2016 Focus RS (and even this one I can easily vote a notch or two higher... the RS is SO fun to drive on public roads!)
4) 2015 C7 Z06
5) 2014 C7 Z51 Stingray

Honorable mention.... my 2012 Boss 302 :D
