Yes.Is routinely driving in Quiet Exhaust mode harmful for the 2019 Mustang GT engine?
Dawn, he’s kidding........I thinkYes.
Ford deliberately installed an exhaust system that is harmful to the engine.
From the factory.
But it's an option on the car, you can skip it and not harm your engine.
Thats the dumbest shit I've ever read.... I cannot understand why race tracks have restrictions like that and on top of that if the car has the stock exhaust why they'd get flagged...An owner got black flagged at a track day because even in quiet mode the exhaust opened up at high rpm and made too much noise.
Because some race tracks are near residential areas and have limited open exhaust days; because the Mustang active exhaust opens up at high rpm/full throttle and exceeds the noise limit; it's nowhere near the dumbest shit I have ever read.Thats the dumbest shit I've ever read.... GT isn't even in the top10 of loudest cars. GT350 wouldn't even be allowed in.Nah, I'm with TheSnowmanMafia, a stock exhaust car that is road legal shouldn't be banned from a fucking racetrack. Next thing they're going to ban people for posting too fast of a lap.
What race track? It unfortunately does depend. Stupid Laguna Seca...They move as needed even in quiet mode. An owner got black flagged at a track day because even in quiet mode the exhaust opened up at high rpm and made too much noise.
It seems like they also cycle on startup to keep from sticking. Mine is in quiet mode most of the time.
My 350 with a resonator delete hit 102dB with the right wind direction. 50 feet.GT isn't even in the top10 of loudest cars. GT350 wouldn't even be allowed in.
You need to remove your resonator.I just came back from my daughters house and had the car in track mode. The S197 two cars in front of me made my car sound like a Tesla .
Does anyone have actual DB levels for the active exhaust?
