Does anyone know if you need to be a police officer to join the IUPA? I looked for that information on their site, but couldn't find it. I'm a first responder, but not a PO.

Thought it was be advantageous to join this and get the $500 Ford rebate for being a member.

Thanks,

You can be a supporting member for $60.00 per year. Ford does require a minimum membership requirement (in months) to qualify for their cash reimbursement. As a retired civilian employee with the local P.D., I've been an IUPA member for more than five years and have successfully used the Ford-IUPA incentive on two occasions.

You can now sign up online at www.iupa.org (click the "Join" tab on the main page and then choose the appropriate option on the Join Page); if need be, contact Arden in their Florida office for more information.

Good luck.
