Guys,
This video is posted in the Issues section without any feedback. My knock/crack sound persists on the drivers front side. Started at about 3000 miles on clock. Now have about 4000 miles on odometer. Car is bone stock.
Any idea what this sound might be? Even if you could comment on whether you think it is suspension or steering or frame related this would be helpful. It's very active in the video. Generally however you would typically only hear it periodically on a commute home from work. Happens primarily on slow speed turns or coming down off a curb cut. Warm temperatures seem to bring it on more too I think.
So far dealer has done/replaced the following under warranty:
- Inspection
- New front strut mounts
- New front struts
- New sway bar end link on drivers side front
- New u-joint at bottom of intermediate shaft at steering rack
- New steering column. Chassis ears heard noise on old column.
Ford engineering is now involved. They recommended the steering column. We continue to work through this. Regional Rep may be brought in.

Thanks.
