There isn’t.

The 2020 - 2022 Shelby GT500 has only one equipment group listed: 950A. The optional Handling pkg (67K) or the Carbon Fiber Track pkg (67J) may be added to the car.

The 2015 - 2020 Shelby GT350 and GT350R were different in this respect, in that there were two distinct equipment groups: GT350 = 900A, GT350R = 920A. From there, the Handling pkg (67L) could be added to the GT350 (900A).

It’s understandable to think the CFTP equipped 500s are an upper tier to those that are not. It’s quite a considerably priced performance improving option. I’m just making an observation. That and I might be a little bored at the moment.

Yeah, so if there’s a 950 group or you can pay extra for “better” options, then the 950 is the base…

What I don’t get is why it matters lol. Have we become so elitist that someone with a CFTP is somehow superior to a non track pack model? Or is it an inferiority complex? 🤔
If we really want to nitpick it, a “Base” car has zero options. No tech package, no handling package, no stripes, and no recaros.

Edit: for those who can’t tell, this post is sarcasm.

says the guy who doesn't have a CFTP. You are right, it doesn't matter. If someone wants the extra options and they can pay for it, then why shouldn't they have it. Elitist? not really, just someone who can afford it should have it if they want it..

Yea. Do not roll up with your zero options GT500, into a crowd of CFTP, golden ticket, painted stripe owners, blasting your stereo without the subwoofer option... you're not elite. 😉

If you buy any car with zero add on options. It's a base car. A gt500 with no added options is a base gt500. I bought one new in 2012. My 2020 is used and has added options. Although I still think of it as a base car with recaros and handling pack. Before it was the performance package. Now it's the cftp. Honestly they should have made a track pack that wasn't carbon also as a middle ground.

I would think he would be welcomed into that crowd. Now when a GT guy rolls up, that's another story, lol

It got me thinking about being in a CFTP and rolling into a crowd of Lambos, Ferraris, Mclaren's or etc. You're now the poor :) It doesn't matter the level you are (or think you are) someone will always out do you and some in a very big way. Be happy for what you have and while I can afford a bit more now in my life, I could be plenty happy in a Mustang GT and be no less of a man for it. Ironically, there are plenty of people with a Mustang GT that probably have a lot more net worth then others on here......

Lol and I’m perfectly fine with that. You’ll never find a post of me saying “wish I had a CFTP”. And my post was sarcasm in case you missed it.
