That's what I was talking about.Check the date on the article that was posted.
The 1965 Mustang was introduced in 1964, with some being made in 1964 and some in 1965. The 2015 was introduced in 2014, with some being mad in 2014 and some in 2015. I didn't have a 50LE, but my 2015 was built in November 2014. Its the same thing
Here is an article from August 2008. So the 45th anniversary Mustang was introduced 44 years later (1964-2008), went into production 44 years later (1964-2008) and has a VIN that is 44 years later (1965-2009). That's a whole lot of weird.
One thing that makes it confusing was the original Mustang was introduced several months early for the 1965 model year, and had very long production run because of that early introduction, but all of them were titled as 1965 model year cars.
The only anniversary model prior to 2015 that actually made any sense was the 25th that was released in 1989. IIRC, it was only the cars built from April '89 to April '90 that received the anniversary badge on the dash, so they tried to honor the anniversary of the original release date, but by using manufacture dates to determine which cars were considered anniversary cars, they crossed model year production dates so some 1989's were 25th cars, but not all of them, and some 1990's were 25th cars, but again, not all of them, so now that I think about it, yeah it's still weird.
