I did a search, most posts seemed focused on "what's your insurance cost?". This thread essentially said "why would you tell them?" http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=26518&highlight=Insurance
But I'm curious for those who have $15k-$25k+ into their cars, are you seriously driving around with coverage for a $30k-$40k car instead of a $45k-$65k+ car? I mean, I know you're not going to get the full value back out of those parts, but isn't something better than nothing?
And what happens if your insurance finds out you're heavily modified? Tell you to pound sand as far as coverage goes?
Has anyone insured through something like Hagerty's or something similar? Though Hagerty's doesn't insure if you race (last I checked). Not looking for track insurance, but also don't want a company who cares if I race the car.
I am the type to over think the shit out of things, but I'm also looking to see what my options are (if any) to protect some of my "investment".
Thanks!
