Installed my Ford Performance CF Vent Hood

Thought I’d follow up on from my initial post when I received the CF Vent Hood. Hade to wait for my PPF guy to stop by my house and install the film before installing on my car and then completing the Ceramic Coating. All in all, very easy install and removal, just a little challenging trying to remove the two plastic push/pull tabs at the top without breaking them.

I must say, the

fit and finish is absolutely flawless on this Ford performance product, even the rain tray looks really good. The kit includes metal clips to install so you can use your OEM rain tray screws. Nice touch.

A pleasant surprise that I wasn’t expecting, the CF vent hood and rain tray is about half the weight of the OEM vent hood/rain tray. I didn’t realize the plastics would be significantly heavier. Overall, it’s roughy a 4lbs weight savings.

The stock rain tray is actually metal…there’s a few more ounces saved there.

Great quality! Not easy to get that flawless CF product. The interior CF blew me away as well.

Puts the Germans and Italians to shame haha.

Yes, agreed. I still can not get over the quality and attention to detail. I have a handful of German cars that all have CF and this Ford Performance CF Vent is every bit as good. The only CF in my German cars that is a tad bit better, in my opinion, is my older 1997 Porsche Turbo S. Here is a picture showing, you’ll see the CF is a tighter weave and has a but if a green hue to it Which I like.
