Installed Dynomax bullets to help with MBRP Race Drone...Didn't work!!!

I had the 24222s welded in the other day because it's been said that this will take away the drone of some exhausts. Well it didn't work for me. It may have reduced it ever so slightly but not nearly enough for me. As an FYI the only way they would fit with this exhaust was to put them in the middle of the H Pipe. It's a shame because I love the sound of this exhaust but I can't take a trip with the GF because we can't hold a conversation on the highway. So after spending $650 for the exhaust, $80 for overnight shipping, $100 for the bullet mufflers and $175 to have them welded in that's $1000. I wish I would have listened to everyone who said the drone was bad. Should of just spent the money on a higher quality exhaust. Owell. Life goes on. Just wanted to post this so that it might save someone else some money.

Sorry to hear that. I also have the MBRP race. I only noticed the drone really bad under load. Just cruising on the flat road at any speed, it was fine. Once I installed headers and high flow cats, it reduced the drone, and it really didn't get any louder.

Idk, I have the race on mine, and my 3 year old sleeps in their car, and my ever picky wife has not said a word. Yes there is a little drone, but it's easy to modulate out. Sucks you have spent so much money, but kinda wonder why with all the comments about the known drone you would have gone with a "race" setup.

I have the race exhaust and I only notice drone if I apply light throttle around 2,000 rpm. I don't cruise in that range so it has never bothered me.

At least from the videos I've seen the Street exhaust sounds way to raspy for me. I'll probably end up with the ARH. Loud I don't mind, Drone I do.

Yes I will be selling my Race once I get another exhaust in and installed. I just keep flip flopping between exhaust.

Weld in set of J-pipes roughly 24 inches long. Look up Helmholtz resonator to see what im talking about.
