So I am ordering the timing gear and Oil pump gears before going FI, is there anything else I should order and get done while the front cover if off before going boost?

Yup the balancer may be one of the most important item in keeping harmonics from damaging OPG or timing gears. I just installed the MMR balancer at $399 with ARP Crank bolt included. The MMR race damper balancer is made by Romac of Austrialia SFI approved and Romac is synonymous with quality built dampers. ATI super damper is another great balancer.

If you are looking for someone to do the work. Collin at http://www.racingintegration.com is the only person that I take my car to.
100% recommend Collin as he did mine too based on Evo's review of him

Collin knows his shit

And he sells the ATI dampener and has cool plate frames

I had my timing chain tensioners swapped with the FRPP boss ones when I did my OPGs and crank gear.

I've heard we don't really need to replace the dampener unless its required by the track.

What are the real advantages of swapping the dampener?
A few very reliable sources have told me the same answer just stated differently. This unit eliminates non-desirable harmonic vibrations that travel through the OPG assembly

The harmonics are the main killer for the OPG/timing gear. Add an ATI damper to your list and you'll be in good shape. We stock the ATI damper, P'm for pricing

The boss ones are for higher RPM use and better constructed.
Are these Tensioners known to fail for the Coyotes? I've never heard of people upgrading the tensioners to boss tensioners. Wondering if this is something I should do, and what would is the purpose of upgrading.

it has an engine!
Definitely a damper, Mmrs or ati are great choices. The boss might be a cheaper, good option if you're low on funds.
