Says the guy that gets 33.4 mpg from 28 miles of driving... Instead of manipulating numbers, give us the meat and potatoes. Give us the only figures people care about. Give us your average, not some inflated number meant to bullshit people.

I don't take any medication and I'm not overweight. Guess I got lucky?
Who cares about combined average? Mine gets 15-18 mpg in town, 27-31 mpg on the highway (3000 km round trip Winnipeg to Banff - prairies/mountains).

I also prefaced it with I would do a fill up and a manual calculation to see if it was remotely accurate. Why are you so emotionally invested, you don’t even own an S550 GT . Are there no s197 boards you can flame out on?
It's the exact same engine as the S550 minus a few internal upgrades. The gas mileage will be nearly the exact same. Since when is the requirement for this forum an S550 GT? News to me

I owned and sold an S550 and decided to stay after I got my current Mustang. Deal with it.

I average about 17-19mpg overall. Filled up today and ran the hwy for awhile (60 miles) with cruise set at 75mph and was averaging about 26mpg. Outside air temp: 90deg and AC was on. Ground somewhat flat.
That is with a completely stock GT with an auto. I am satisfied so far.

I was avg around 21 on 93P tune. Now on straight E about 18 mpg. Crazy to see a/f in the 9 range on gauge. Lol.

On my 15 gt my lifetime gas mileage was 20.4, that was from day one till the day I sold it with 22k miles on the odometer. The last 8k miles had a Lund tune, long tubes, intake. My 18 either gets a lot better mileage or the on board mileage calculator is a bit optimistic. Driven hard the 18 gets about the same as the 15, baby it and the mileage goes way up(according to the trip computer). Has anyone with an 18 gt checked their actual gas mileage against what the trip computer showed?

I have left my trip set for the last 18000 km..11000 miles..mix of city 30% and hiways 70%...says 9.4 l per 100 km over that time... thats 25 US, 30 CND...I have checked it manually and its close one way or another depending on how close my fills are..good enuff.

Here is my best from Dayton to St.Louis. The overall trip (360 miles) ended up with a 29.8 mpg! This is a stock base manual 16 GT, windows down, AC off.

Nope. Improved aero affects highway, different weight affects city. Different tuning for a more dramatic impact just about anywhere. Add to that the 2018 engine changes that were intended at least partly to improve efficiency and the A10 ... much different numbers.

Though I'd guess the in dash calculation on the S197 is just as optimistic as the S550. :) I wish people would stop posting those numbers.

20.3 here with an equal split between 5 miles of inner city driving and 8 miles of freeway...and a few spirited on ramp excursions....equal to my wifes 4 banger turbo Santa Fe.

Much different numbers huh? Fuelly says there is around a six-tenths mpg difference between the S197 and the S550 of any year. Link
That's a pretty big difference alright

2018 GT averaging 19.3
2015 GT averaging 18.7
2014 GT averaging 18.7

Hmmm... I guess all those improvements were cancelled out with how much of a pig the S550 is.

I was quite impressed on ours first trip of approx. 300 miles. Left home near Charlotte, NC, and drove through the Great Smokey Mountains, and returned home. The little mpg thingy showed a bit over 28 mpg. Pretty dang good for that much power under the hood.

I had a 2013 GT Brembo M6, got 27 hand-calculated mpg on a 2500-mile trip over hill and down dale; 27.4 by the on-board computer. I disrember what the overall from day one, except that it was less than 20, and included generous helpings of organized drag-racing and auto-crossing.

My just-traded 2014 GT A6 never got past 21 mpg that I remember, and did right at 18 from day one, same inclusions.

This new one, '18 GT PP A10, was 22.2 mpg on the first tank, mostly city, 20.2 from day one, including 122 pre-delivery miles I can't be held responible for.

I disagree: It's pretty clear you come to these forums to talk mean, surely some kind of salve you require to maintain whatever level of comfort you can achieve. I bet your therapist will agree, if you have the nerve to tell him/her about your activities here.

My average since I bought car is 18.1mpg@around 3700 miles

The last 600 miles or so I have been averaging around 21-22mpg
20180814_093945.jpg

When I really try I have seen around 32-32 mpg, setting cruise control at the speed limits. Mainly at 50mph

As a side note one full tank here is around 100 USD at the moment.

I'm getting about 20.5 average according to the computer. I have a base GT with only 600 miles on it. Hera are the facts though:

-I use it mostly to commute to work (60 miles round trip)- which is all back roads, only a few stops (4-6), speeds are 45-55 MPH mostly. It spends most of the time in 6th gear.

-I am driving it light footed until it breaks in- RPM no more than 4K so far.

-Windows down, AC off.

-Flat, straight roads.

-Temperatures warm- 78-95.

-Regular 87 octane gas
