I think the oil crash from covid started this massive spread. The drivers of vehicles that require premium are usually stuck buying it anyway, so they can squeeze us for free profit. And as we know, once prices go up without substantially reducing demand, we get to enjoy them forever. The gap between premium and regular really pisses me off. For many years, you could count on only a 10 cent upcharge between grades. I.e. if 87 was $1.00, 89 would be $1.10, and premium would be $1.20. So I guess it might be reasonable for them to charge 20 percent more (than 87), but not 30-40% more.
The great thing is that you can feed the stock Mustang with what's there.Nothing but Premium for the god's chariot. I ain't putting 87 in my car, that's for econo shitboxes.
Not only is it blue but itās the worst of all the blue. In the worst part of the worst of the worst of all the blue. I hate it.Gee, you must be in a Blue State.
The old I got the car but canāt afford gas for it comes to mind. This is plain nuts, $1 over regular for premium gas. I'll burn 87 octane for a while.
Yep, as long as I can remember 89 has typically been $0.50 more than 87 and 93 is $1 more than 87.Premium has always been .90 to a buck more around here. One big reason I bought the V-6. Refuse to pay extortion.
As much as some of you want to make this political, it wasnāt and it still is not. Itās geographical.
