Just fitted up. I kept the lip on the bottom to keep the body line from the sides and to keep the contrast when I rewrap it. Little area where paint doesn’t match but I’ll probably just correct it on the car alongside removing the charcoal canister and painting that metal area under the trunk that sticks down a bit.

Lol! That's too funny. I actually didn't even know...I saw some random, super small channel do it on YT. That's actually a hell of a difference for such a small change IMO.

Went ahead and ordered the wrap material last night. I was set on using Avery satin black from day one to give the car an overall "sinister" look, but did a 180 on that decision at the last minute.

I wanted something that stuck out, but not as flashy as the psychedelic silver that's currently on it...when the cars in the sun, that's all you can see. Satin black is so common now that I didn't want to do something everyone else has.

So I went with a red/black iridescent. Attached a few pictures...excuse the car but I think it shows the color shift in different lighting super well. Goes from a very metallic red with even almost a very very subtle orangish tint, to a deep, dark red. I'm excited for this!

Chute bracket mounted. Easy process. For those doing it for the first time...the OD of the bracket is I believe 2 inches...might be 1.75. However, I'd advise using a 1.5 inch hole saw. Firstly because the hole saw will cut a bit larger than 1.5. Second, where the bracket goes into the bumper for the S550 theres a lip; it can be kind of hard to get the right angle. Because of this, I went in a bit tilted but was able to dremel the bottom of the hole out to level it up without leaving a big gap. Looks like it's 100% a part of the bumper even with having to do so. Left the bumper support out, feels sturdy without it. Surprised it weighed in at about 10lbs.

Parts are also making their way into the spare room...just not the ones I need immediately (forgive the pink, bought the home recently, prior family had a daughter ). Sometimes I just go in there and imagine what the finished product is going to be like lmao.

Converter is in (Coan 10 inch), trans upgraded to handle 22-2300 flywheel. Sold the airlift kit, picked up Kelltrec viking front coilovers, Kelltrec viking berzerker rear shocks, BMR toe links. Still deciding on springs--might go with a higher rate like 950 or so. Next round will be springs, race bump stops, subframe inserts, adjustable camber arms and maybe some CF or fiberglass doors.

The goal is just to be fast as shit now, period. I don't just want a 7, I want to go into the 7's.

Hell ya man, I absolutely will!

Honestly even though I feel like I'm more waiting for parts (and the weather lol) than doing anything at this point, I've gotten pretty stoked at some of the people I've been able to connect with. A lot of guys/groups have gone beyond what I'd expect...Kelly Aiken of @KellTrac , David Van Voris of Coyote Direct, All the people at Modular Head shop, TKM has been helpful, and Eric at JPC, not to mention a lot of folks on this board. More than anything I'm excited to get out there and get to see some of these folks in person.

On that note, carbon doors, 10 point cage, and BMR rear handling springs ordered. Steeda stuff will be ordered on V-day (10% off...I'll save every penny at this point lmao). Considering going a fuel cell as well now that the trunk will be open, and more than likely going optic armor for the front windshield with the cage install. Sunday I'll be dropping the rear subframe and removing the air ride.
