Hi there

OK a simple POLL, if Ford made the GT 350 available in RHD, who would truly stump up the cash for one:

1. Not interested
2. Yes: GT 350 RHD for me at £58,950
3. Yes: GT 350 R RHD for me at £70k+

Of course it would be RHD, but clear rears, no DRL's, dodgy hand brake and all the usual cut backs us UK people see, but it would still have the FPC, Tremec transmission, though expect it to be 500PS and not 526PS and maybe a little quieter to meet regulations.

Voted for regular 350, as I am not to keen on the R looks and I dislike the carbon wheels, so regular 350 for me. :)

If I could get my hands on that kind of money, it would be a no brainier for me. I think it would need to be around the £60k mark though...

Ah look, gibbo's found another poll.

Hell yes I would. I went with the 350. No need for the 'R' spec over here really. Have a sneaking feeling it'd be up the £80/90k end of things if it was sold here.

350 ball park would be 55-65k, of which I am fine with!

If it happened they would be so limited they would be an appreciating asset anyway. The R would no doubt be worth 100k plus the moment you took delivery.

Hopefully Ford would do as Porsche do and only offer the car to customers who ordered a Mustang. To stop the flippers just buying them and then charging insane amounts of money.

Ford USA charges 55k for a GT 350, so at 60k UK monies they make a profit as the R&D to sort would not be cheap, so it probably would end up closer to 65k, end of day if Ford did it they have to make a profit from it and a good one.

There is always a need for everything, what you may not need, others do.

Porsche excel at selling track focused cars at insane profits, the R model over here would sell like hot cakes to those who collect cars or buy expensive track cars.

Wouldn't a large chunk of the R&D/parts manufacturing be done with the GT?

I think they should make 350 for each RHD market.

Andy Barratt can I put my name forward please & be no.1/350 :D

Very true.. by "Over here" I was inferring to myself, but understand that could be misconstrued as "UK" ;)!

Yeah porky sell bare track cars that are demonic on the streets and the track (R/GT3/4/RS specs etc etc etc). There would always be a market for the 'R' spec. Infact, if offered R and 350, (say 350 of each for sake of numbers), the R would sell faster. Even if it was at like an absurd price c100-120k. (Obviously depends on the Non-R's price/demand/dealer over sticker price etc etc etc etc etc)

Or the stealer dealers could mark up price first
