Well not really exactly. Ordering 2 months ago or today there are holiday days off for Thanksgiving, X-mas and New Years everyone has to deal with.I have had mine on order for 2 months and I've got an eta of January so if you order today I would not expect January. If you order today and get it the same time as me I'm getting screwed harder than I thought. Lol
I would look for one on a lot. I am seeing them at every ford dealer now. That's probably what I should have done
Building the car only takes about 18 hours they say, so its not the actual building holding it up but the prepping and shipping part. It is very possible someone could order it today and get it in January, that is still the 8-10 weeks they estimate (not including holiday days)
Also, "on order" doesnt mean a build date. Yours may have been on order for 2 months but get a build date close to someone who ordered today. There is no rhyme or reason to who gets built first, but it seems to depend on trim line, engine, etc as they have to stagger different types to get all cars out. There are a lot of factors. Also, 2 months ago there was probably a huge backup of orders from 5-6 months ago; the process has streamlined a lot since and seems to be at full capacity now.
