I feel like painting them blue would be something that grows on you every time you see your grille and definitely adds a touch of uniqueness if that matters to you.

Keeping them black would the the safe bet since black goes with every color.

how much lower is that compared to stock without the Velossa tech? just curious for terms of comparison
Before, I would get anywhere from 20-30* above ambient depending on how tight the traffic was. But that’s with the factory closed box intake. People have seen much higher with an opBut as soon as you start moving, they drop. It’s really not as big of a deal as some make it out to be but it helps a good amount and they’re cheap.

edit- lets say you get splashed with hose or a car wash. do you think the slope of the big mouth, would run majority of the water down out the front part of the snorkel? I mean, its behind the grille, so it should just run down, since the opening of the snorkel is higher.
I actually just washed my car yesterday and when I rinse the front, I literally spray water directly at the front of the bumper. I do that every time and I’ve never had an issue. The water would have to take a 90* turn up and through the filter to get into the engine. But I also don’t shove the hose against the grill and spray the area for extended periods of time or anything crazy. It’s a snug fit, but not so snug that it’s water tight
