So I parked my car at my local station today and all was fine.
Got back to it late afternoon, started it up and there was an immediate piercing bleeping noise.
I checked around the car. No warning lights on. Boot and doors shut. Killed the engine then restarted it.
Same thing... Too loud and annoying to drive with it bleeping so I called my dealer and spoke to a service guy - and let him hear the sound over the phone. The technicians had all gone but the service guy said get out the car, lock it and unlock it - then start it. Tried that... no change.
He said I could bring it in tomorrow am and hopefully someone could diagnose the fault.
Resigned to having to drive home with the incessant noise ringing in my ears I started the car again (still bleeping) and reversed out of my parking space. As I did this the beeping became less frequent... and less frequent... then it stopped.
Yes... the sound was my front parking sensors...
When I parked I was about a foot from a car in front of mine... as soon as I started the car the sensors activated and that was the noise I heard.
I called my dealer back and explained that I wouldn't need to come in.
The guy asked me why and I told him.
He laughed out loud...
