Nice evolution there. yeah I see what you mean about the mods. My goal for now it to learn how to and enjoy driving my GT at higher speeds it was designed to go to but preserve it's ability to be a nice road trip sports car too. If that means doing some garage tear down and reinstall that's okay .You need more negative Camber when on track, so as the car corners and rolls the weight of the car to the outside, you maintain the biggest contact patch possible - Tires to Tarmac.
First DE weekend
and Now
Some of the Mods : Listed HERE.
First DE1 times at VIR were around 2:28 (but I have previously tracked cars in UK)Do you have lap times comparison between day 1 and now as well ?
I'm having the whole front done in Expel PPF. It will stop at the doors. If you value your paint get some track armour.
and 18+mo old. flush and replace. Every season at the very minimum and better to flush every 6 event weekends thereafter.Like new very clean only have 5k miles on it.
no need to spend that kind of money. leading 18 inches of hood, leading 6" of roof if you want, leading face of rear haunches. The rest of the bumper is just plastic anyway. If you're tracking the car, it won't ever be show worthy again. And if gets so bad you can't stand it anymore, the same $1000 can buy you a new facia and paint.I'm having the whole front done in Expel PPF. It will stop at the doors.
I was doing the PPF for myself and keeping it as close to original as possible., That said, to me there's no point in having a sports car that can go 155 mph and not learning how to handle/drive it plus going somewhere you can do it legally. Life is worth living.no need to spend that kind of money. leading 18 inches of hood, leading 6" of roof if you want, leading face of rear haunches. The rest of the bumper is just plastic anyway. Wouldn’t most orgs require a roll bar on verts?I have never seen a Mustang Vert on track, they have always been Coupes.
Considering that Ford have never managed to fix the Hood flutter at 130+, how does the ragtop hold up..?
Some do and some don't depending on the event. the SCCA Track Night in America I think just requires a helmet but it's not a HPDE event. I'm expecting I'll have to invest in a rollbar.Wouldn’t most orgs require a roll bar on verts?
Right now any track will be brand new to me. ;-]Try to Google Earth the track. This might help you with cornering if it's a brand new track to you
