I waited until today to go because I got in free, it was hero's day. All active duty military and veterans, along with police, fire, and EMS personnel got in for free. Anyway, here are the pics.

As far as I am concerned , the snakes look very good on the GT500. The Ford designers knew what they were doing to make the snakes as large as they did. They nailed it.

Damn, that's hot. Well, other than the black wheels, which I despise (can't wait until that fad dies).

If I wasn't hell bent on paying off my house before I'm 55, I'd be ordering one in silver, stripe delete.

Thank you for the pics.
All those snakes :( I'll be peeling or blanking every one of them i can. I prefer the track packs more aggressive look. A wing a little smaller, like the 350R would be perfect, but glad they are keeping that specifically for the 350R. Front, still isn't pleasing but warming up a little to it.
I plan on ordering the day banks open, but a lot can change between now and then (whimpy specs or shitty economy)

I wouldn't call it a fad, hell, Porsche, various muscle cars, British cars with wire wheels, all had options for black for years. I bought my first aftermarket wheel, umm, a while ago (like decades ...), Enkeis with a black center. I get not liking the style, but it's pretty much here to stay :)

Agree it's going to be around for a while, but I think it's mostly because current high performance brake pads produce lots of dark colored dust.

I got sick of the whole black wheel thing 10+ years ago, so I'm hoping the manufacturers come up with a solution.

Nah, it's a fad when kids driving mom and dad's shitty old Impala plasti-dip the wheels black....

Black wheel centers with a polished/machined lip are another thing altogether, and acceptable.

Well, yeah, the whole black wheel thing hasn't been as short-lived as I would like (like most fads)....

Back to sweet, silver GT500s with ugly black wheels.

I think the black wheel thing is a little more than a fad, it's lasted too long. But I agree, I hate all black wheels too. You lose the detail of the wheel design. At least with a machined lip it breaks up the all black and you can see the detail.

Yeah, something like this HRE S107 3-piece in this exact finish, polished lip and fasteners, graphite satin center section - that would look KILLER on that silver GT500 !

if I can get motivated, I might try a little photo-hack :D
