I wanted a heritage edition until I saw this. Now I can't unsee it.

I have a 19 stripe delete car. I have designed a rocker panel stripe with the GT 350 on the rear section because of this reason.
Totally agree
Will post pic when it is done

Agreed which is why the only real option is to remove the standard GT350 badge on the fender and replace it with an old school Powered by Ford badge or a Snake or something else entirely.

It always takes less talent to criticize than to compliment. Ford first developed The Gt350 in 2015 and then the HEP Edition came out afterwards , and they added the stripes as a recognition of the history. Mixing today’s look of the badging in the original look . I feel that Ford performance approved of the dash chassis badge with the red R on the end . and by adding the billet R on the fender it accomplishes what they missed or did not want to spend the money on.

well, they (Ford) should have been smart enough to either remove the '350' from the stripes or to just plain not have the fender badging on the HE. They were lazy or focus-grouped the wrong bunch of "enthusiasts".

Honestly it doesn't bother me. The 2020 HEP doesn't look like the 65 GT 350.
I agree, seriously who cares its a great car, and its not the 60's anymore.

I personally like the side stripes on the Heritage. Like someone said, I think the GT500 has way too many snakes for it's own good. When people add gt350 floor mats, shift knobs, etc that when I think it gets a little too busy. This is not my car, but I am considering adding side stripes to my car.....metal badge or not

Is it me or does this stripe look better, more continuous than the OEM stripe? I don't see the breaks at the body seams. Maybe the stripe rolls over the body edges. Not sure. Got a closer pic?

Bottom line: to each his own.

These are the only pics I have, as it wasn't my car. I just asked for a few pics from a guy since we have the same color and I was curious how these side decals (from American Muscle) might look on

Even though it looks weird if you point it out and zoom it at the specific angle up close I still think the side stripes look good. It definitely pops out and still looks good imo. I am a sucker for muscle cars so my opinion is definitely biased

Looking at it now, I think it would look fine just removing the upper badge. More in line with original that way as well.
The only problem with removing the gt350 badge from fender is that it has 3 large alignment holes for that little badge! I was sick when I removed mine and found those holes!

How wide is the span for the holes? Would the "POWERED BY FORD" badge cover them?

I'd have to double check but I believe the powered by ford would cover them nicely

In the end - this is how Ford delivered it. If you don't like it, don't buy it. If I bought an HEP (even though I don't like stripes at all, so it's pretty much a no go for me) - I certainly wouldn't start swapping badging and stripes. Save that for debadged A4s and 318is, please. Might as well add double GT350 floormats, seat covers, a tach and fuzzy dice. I'm not a purist in most regards but lets keep it classy, M6G.
