1,300 wheel on a stock bracket, stock 8 rib belt... is wicked awesome! Not sure why the RPM guys are so surprised. I guess it's because it takes 416-427cid, heads, cam, sheet metal intake and F1x to make that in the LS world.
Jk LOL. No seriously tho....
I still would love to know why people can go years without breaking a crank (if ever)Why didn't the crank break? lol
I thought you weren't supposed to dyno a car with drag radials on it?
Just costs a little power on the Dyno and a bit of rubber off the tires.I thought you weren't supposed to dyno a car with drag radials on it?
Thank you for the post! I'm not very active on here since I have a Gen 1 but I do lurk time to time.
In their defense...it did take ported heads, 4 cams, high compression, and the plastic manifold that was about to blow LOLNot sure why the RPM guys are so surprised. I guess it's because it takes 416-427cid, heads, cam, sheet metal intake and F1x to make that in the LS world.

And here we go...Why didn't the crank break? lol
Mickey Thompson does not recommend it.I thought you weren't supposed to dyno a car with drag radials on it?
With the way my tire was starting to deform on the dyno i think they know more then we do about the subject. Imagine if that pull was 1 second or 2 seconds longer what would the tire look like? I made those pulls in 4th gear with a 28" tire at 22psi cold. A 5th gear 1:1 ratio would have had the tires near 200mph and the pull would have been much longer.Just costs a little power on the Dyno and a bit of rubber off the tires.
They are a good group of guys and have always helped me out when I needed something. That CTS-V they just put the Kong 2650 on is a beast!I watch their vids often. They always informative and have cool cars on the dyno. Congrats on the power Slow306, badass setup.
I'm interested to see what the 2650 ctsv ultimately runs. Ran good for 1st time out. They are a good group of guys and have always helped me out when I needed something. That CTS-V they just put the Kong 2650 on is a beast!
Thanks @SolarFlare it's been a long build in the making.
we will never know. As soon as the camera shut off, he dropped a pulley size and put the nitrous back on it. That car is always faster then we think it is.I'm interested to see what the 2650 ctsv ultimately runs. Ran good for 1st time out.
