I thought manual trans didn't come with adaptive cruise, but I guess it does

It's not active cruise, it's adaptive cruise.

I thought I would hate the adaptive cruise control, but yesterday on the highway back from picking up my car, I actually found the system on the Mustang was pretty nice. You've got easily accessible buttons to control how near or far the system triggers, and it's easy to shut off if you don't want to use it.

I haven't really been on many interstates here that allow the cruise (adaptive or not) to be much use. People driving in and out of lanes, cars crusing below the speed limit in the left land but matching the speed of the car in the right lane.

love, love, love adaptive cruise…it matches speed of car in front of you and then speeds back up to your preset when that car moves.

Example…i drove from Seattle to portland and never touched the brake, or the gas 😎

I use my adaptive cruise typically after 45 mph in town, on highways, and freeways. It works well. I just recently read in the manual that the adaptive part can be turned off but I have never had a reason to do so.

I really wish mine had adaptive cruise. I spend hours on end driving I-85 in the Carolinas and traffic sucks.

Comes with the premium package...I have it on my 21 GT.

The system is pretty cool...it will allow you to shift into a different gear and still be "on". Only disengages with brakes.

While I really like the ability to change gears while cc is engaged and the system keeps the set speed, I'm glad the Bullitt doesn't have the adaptive system, Lane assist, emergency braking, auto shutoff, etc.

I worry that all of these automated systems are creating lazy unskilled and inattentive drivers.

I want full engagement alertness and control.

Just imagine what the self driving cars do for drivers :)

I think the systems may help with those drives that have become lazy, unskilled, and inattentive before these systems became the norm. At least the automated systems will try to react vs continuing to text and driving right into objects.
