I need tires for my minivan for this winter. But I am tempted to get the old ones through one more winter.
Somehow the thought crossed my mind, "I wonder what the bolt circle is on the van?" So I did some quick research, and discovered this.

Both wheels have the same overall diameter, bolt circle, and offset. Even the hub bores are the same! Here is a screen shot from wheel-size.com calculator. Minivan on the left. On the right is the minivan with the Mustang wheel installed. Only issue in doubt is strut and fender clearance.

I am imagining the Mustang in the garage on blocks with no wheels for the winter, and the rusting van in the snow sporting nice wheels. What a contrast.

Well, ConspicuousConsumption once said I should mod the van. :D

I plan for new wheels and tires, but not until next year earliest. Meanwhile, I would feel better if the van tires were new instead of old.
Since the offsets are the same, I wonder if the extra 1.5" will all go inboard, and possibly hit the strut. Fender clearance should not be a problem. [Edit: I forgot offset is from centerline, so that will split the extra width evenly btw inboard and outboard.]

Haha, yeah, probably about Mustangs. Doesn't everyone?
