I searched but...anyone break 4 seconds 0 - 60 with a manual tranny?

Sorry if this has been posted before but I didn't get any hits on the search

Everyone focuses on 1/4 mile which is great, but I'm curious about 0 - 60 times. What engine setups and suspension upgrades allow you to get the power to the wheels?

Keep dreaming I think... No way you're going to accomplish that unless you're forced induction. Even with an auto there is no way you're gonna do that. The 2018-2019s autos might do it but it's all the transmission and gearing. Even if you add enough power to do it, you still have to get the power to the ground... Most likely you'll just spin shifting to 2nd and that's where you'll lose your time.

I love the people in here saying it can't be done. It's not that hard. If the 2018 GT's are able to do a 3.9 sec 0-60 and which usually is a 1.8 second 60' at the track. Then I'm pretty sure that my V6 that was on spray that I manage a low 1.6 60' with landed me a sub 4 second 0-60.
Completely stock suspension, stock clutch, and MT ET street R's on the rear.

My reference wasn't towards you sorry! I own a 2018 GT so I know what it does at the track so I used what I knew

Hey All!

Thanks for the replies - good info. I'm keeping mine NA but thinking of a F150 IM or 2018 IM (I typically don't go over 6K) and AEM or K&N filter, Mishimoto induction tube and a tune.

Going to 305 rear wheels and Steeda stop the hop kit may help getting power to the wheels.

Not sure how close I'll get to 4 seconds 0-60 but it's nice to dream

I think I did a 3.98 on my 2011 GT manual but I had aftermarket wheels , sticky 315's and a intake and tune, was lowered and had adjustable suspension, panhard bar, etc. Broke my transmission shortly after that.

How good of a driver are you? That plays a huge factor in a manual trans car. If you’re not a lightning fast shifter it won’t matter how the car is putting it down.

If you got that down, you need to put the power down. I think the most ground to make up is having sticky tires and being able to launch without hop.
