Hopefully the upgraded wheels are also lighter than the standard ones. At least they look lighter...

I wonder if it is possible to polish the center spokes of the stock wheels to replicate the magnum 500s
ala:

but on all 5 spokes of course, im too lazy and at work.
I was thinking the same thing. Ford should have done this with both the base wheel and the HP wheels... they both would’ve looked SIGNIFICANTLY better with that

To answer your question, yes, that is doable. Safest bet would probably be to find a machine shop to machine the face of those spokes, then polish and clearcoat over them, but you could also do it yourself with a dremel and some tape. I plan on buying some replica HP wheels and doing that for my street wheels and keeping the stock ones for the track

that'll be my plan as well, get a set of these with a more streetable tire, keep the HP wheels wrapped and stacked in case I can make a track trip, or for a weekend of making the local cruising loop.

The owners manual (US version) for the 2021 Mustang and the Mach 1 Supplement are online now! Some light reading to be completed before delivery. (Yes, I really do read them. I happened to get a rental 2015 the week before I was to test drive the one I have now. They left the owners manual in the glove box, so when I arrived for the test drive, I already knew how to change the modes, etc. Dealer was a bit surprised but then let me take the car for a three-hour test drive without an escort. I ended up buying the car a couple weeks later.)

I think that skinnier tires may look funny with the flared wheel wells

Anyone wanna skim through and see if the “track use” verbiage remains the same as the GT500?

I'll figure something out, spacers if absolutely need be, or simply a wider tire to fill it. we'll see.

I don't know what it was for the GT500. The Mach 1 Supplement includes cautions, performance mode, line lock, and launch control instructions, alignment settings, Gurney flap instructions, and brake burnishing. There is no Track Use section in the regular Owners Manual.

There are a couple threads on here that talk about the 2020 GT500 owners manual stating that track use will void the warranty. That’s what I was curious about

Just read the track use portion. No mention of warranty, so that’s a good sign! Also, HOLY CRAP -2.25° of camber on the handling package! Love that it’s capable of that from factory!

Looks like we'll have to pull the warranty document for that. By my quick read, there's mixed messages in the Owners Manual. The Warranty section in the regular manual recommends against track but given the supplement tells you how to prep the car for tracking and recommended maintenance for a tracked car, they know they have to cover it up to some point. Of course, there is the point that additional modifications (other than the recommended Ford Performance catch can) may not be covered by the warranty. Duh.

Thanks for the spacer mention. I might do that in the months I use the all seasons (mounted on 2017 GT PP wheels). That way I can stay with the narrower tire for New England winter time and not have them look "wrong". (Funny part is, at Ford Nationals and Mustang Show two years ago I got confronted for having the "wrong" wheels on my 2015 GT Premium! Purists?!)

Just looked at the Warranty document and it only mentions racing in the exclusions on page 13. It does not say "track use," so I see no conflict between the owners manual/guide and the warranty info. Yay!
