I saw a 2021 Mach 1 today in downtown Rochester, MI and spoke to the lady engineer.

Not the transmission. Mach 1 has a tremec. They all have magneride and it was an option on the Bulliit. If you look at the photos, that car had a cloth interior but the seats looked different than a regular gt to me.

I didn't say 'all' I said 'many'. Those are normal cloth seats unless my eyes are betwixed.

The more I see the side in person, the side striping is probably designed to try to blend the bumper winglets, but the stripe black and the matte black winglets do not much well, hopefully some aftermarket kits will come out to add matching texture winglet accents to the side fenders to try to blend in with the front bumper ones?

It also would be more noticeable if someone tried to add a Mach 1 front bumper to a base GT without side stripes or someone who removes the mach 1 side stripes.

What exhaust tips are those? Hopefully we can get them OEM

They’re the standard Mach 1 exhaust tips. Similar to the GT500, but 4.5” in diameter instead of 5”

She told me that the handling was between a gt350 and PP1. Ride a bit firmer than the Bullitt. But I've never driven app2 car or a gt350.

Sounds like the base Mach 1 will probably have pretty similar suspension to the PP2. Gives me hope that the HP car will be comparable to the GT350

Hey, that cloth interior is the same as my 2015 GT. The standard cloth interiors in 2018 + models have the wide vertical stripes like the photo above. So is this a test car interior or is the Mach1 cloth interior 'borrowed' from the 2015-17 model year. Interesting.

im hoping its a test interior. Nothing against the cloth interiors of the base mustangs..but I would expect more from mach 1 seats...even "base" mach 1

Well, it would be kinda nice if they made a base interior version for people who just want the performance and the tremec. My main complaint with the Bullitt was that it was locked behind a paywall with the only real option being magnaride. I would enjoy having a special edition that isn't 50k or more.

With that said, its likely they're getting special mach 1 embroidered leather but it wasn't done yet so it didn't make it to this pre production model.

The Mach 1 DOES get cloth seats standard. Leather is an upcharge

What you're seeing here is the base model interior. Whether it'll use the 15-17 seats or the 18+ seats, I don't know, but it WILL get cloth seats standard, and I highly doubt they're going to change them at all. If you want a sportier seat, you can upgrade to the cloth Recaros

I wouldn't be surprised if the Mach uses the 15-17 seats... seems it's going to be pretty similar to the Shelby in that the "Mustang" nomenclature will be minimal. Seems the emblem on the grille and puddle lights will be the only indication

Something I just thought of... I wish OP would've asked to see the startup screen on the cluster. I'm curious to see the unique "Mach 1" startup sequence. Would be pretty cool if it were something related to a fighter jet or something like that

When she drive away they were an eye catcher. Definitely bright chrome.

Nice work OP...I am really interested in the new tranny as that may be the best improvement/update. The other improvements like the shifter, exhaust and striping seems to be purely cosmetic.

The magnetic ride, suspension bits and a few more ponies ala the soon to be retired Bullitt are nice as well.

The blue one was a bit more conservative than the gray one shown above...smaller spoiler and simpler wheels.

Both are nice! But I haven't finished modding my current Mustang yet...so I will pass.

Cloth for the base interior is fine. I have nothing against cloth. Just was hoping it would have mach 1 or something that sets it apart still. Its still a $50k car, i dont think thats much to ask for lol

Cannot find a single pic of a Mach 1 with cloth interior but it appears the leather seats do not say Mach 1 either. Just an accent stripe.
