You could, but setting up the desktop would be faster and cheaper.

I mean... you should probably have a laptop, or at least a smart phone by 2023 anyways... but setting up the desktop close by would be cheaper and a lot faster, and to be honest forescan might not even fix your problem. A laptop might be wasted money if this is all you planned on doing with it

You have a point. I do not have either a laptop or smart phone and my desktop runs linux so that option is out.
My next best option is to find someone not to terrible far from me to help. I am about 40 miles south of Louisville KY. PLEASE HELP

Try making a post in the local sections! Someone nearby probably already has forscan already set up with an account

For the test I suggested it makes little sense to buy equipment- it’s a long shot. I guess I assumed you already have forscan.
As others suggested find someone with forscan or there’s always the dealers.

I am going to the shop as much as I hate to
The cost for BCM-B program is 130?
The cost for diagnostic is 170$
So far I tried replacing light
Discharging BCM by unhooking battery
Both no change
The issue started when I left the lights on overnight.
QUESTION
Should I pay for the diagnostic?

I have a related question.

I have a missing BCMB on a 2021 GT 5.0. Can I buy a used module for a 2019 and expect it to work even though the part number is not exactly the same as the number the dealer gave me for my BCMB?

Thanks for any help!
